Shooting Tips

I am absolutely loving this game so far. I Finally got to sit down and play for awhile last night after getting the game last week.

Driving to the basket is so much fun. It looks very realistic and the ability to watch any drives replay right after is a cool touch as well

With that being said, I am struggling mightily to hit a jump shot. I actually set my sliders to 100 on mid range and 3pt just to have fun but I still can't hit one at all.

I am not super good at the controls yet, so creating space isn't my strength yet but does the defense contesting a shot really make me miss almost all shots at 100 sliders?

I've tried it both with just the player ratings, and then the ratings + timing and I'm ice cold either way lol

Are there any tips that helped you guys get better at shooting? I would love to get to where I can nail jumpers pretty consistently, especially if I set my sliders to 100, that's the whole point in doing that lol

The shot timing is a lot faster than on 2k. You can also turn the contest affect slider down. Lastly lower the difficulty and you should see your shots falling

Update: Thanks for the reply. After reading that, I went back and checked my sliders and I had put the shot contest affect slider all the way up to 100 too and that was causing all the misses. Now that I lowered that back down, most good shots are dropping.
