    Trust The Process

    IMG_2977.JPG

Thinking Embiid will be the cover athlete. Not only did they show him a ton during the trailer but even said the phrase “Trust The Process”.

I personally think it would be a great move for them if true. First off Embiid would be great for the social media aspect of the game. Second it’s a great message for the fans and newcomers of Live.

Who do you think will be on the cover?

I was thinking the same. He definitely will popularize the game imo.

He's a much bigger star than the rumored Kemba Walker. No offense to him, but I don't think people will be inspired to buy a game with him on the cover, and it's a big drop off from having James Harden as their cover athlete the year before.

Have they actually said that there will be a cover reveal? What if the cover is just the one that we have now, since the focus of the game is on 'The One'?

I could find it for you but one of the twitter devs alluded to their cover athlete. It'll be released around the time Harden was

Yes and no. He is super active on social media. That alone will be free advertising.

Would be an excellent choice since I trust the process of NBA Live

If "the process" means giving us a sub-standard basketball game with gimped modes and lack of nuanced features compared to the competition every year while taking multiple years off at some points, then I won't "trust" it.

Most of us been trusting the process for over 6-7 years. Even waited after multiple cancellation of Live. How much longer do we have to trust the process? I sure as hell don't trust the process anymore.

And I been playing Live since it was Bulls Vs Blazers and NBA Showdown. Most of you kids probably never of heard of it but that was before Live but long story short.... I do not trust the process anymore. EA screwed us over for too damn long I'd be a cool to trust them and I am no longer giving them any benefit of the doubt like I used to.

This is my biggest issue with Live. They and the people who support it are still talking about "process". The same people on the 2K board wanting perfection just accept/excuse Lives shortcomings. Live 14, ok. I give them a mulligan. But 15 on up to now (including taking another year off) there's no excuse for not having feature and gameplay parity with not just 2K but other sports games in 2018. EA isnt some indie developer. I said it way back when but I'm not paying 60$ (or 40$ or 30$) for some gimped game. 10$. Sure.

If Live doesn't come strong with Franchise, and a full on single player game, I'll be off of the Live bus so to speak. It's 2018, and to be waiting on a game to deliver, what should be the basic fundamentals of a good NBA title is unacceptable. I could write a dissertation, but I won't.

With that said, it's time that they come with it.

Same here. While Live 18 can be a fun game to play, its lasting appeal is limited with no enjoyable Franchise mode to speak of. Franchise modes are always the most important to me and exhibition games and player-lock career modes only hold my attention for so long. If Live 19 doesn't offer a good Franchise mode, I'll either give it a pass or buy it on sale if the discount is steep enough.

Yep. I've given MORE than enough feedback through the years, aided of course by community wishlists, interactions on Social Media, etc, that the ideas have been passed along and have been heard. Now it's time to implement them. I can't have another year of playing one off games.

My only reconciliation is that we can go back to our old 2K games, offline, but yeah, least we can go back to greatness that once was...
