This game any fun on Xbox Live?

I was thinking about reopening an Xbox Live account and was wondering if this game was any good online? Been playing it offline since it came out but was looking for some thoughts.

Personally, I haven't enjoyed online experience so far.

If you have a bunch of NBA Live playing friends then I say go for it- However, if you just want to play random people in the lobbies, you might be dissapointed.

So far, I've played around 15-20 games and only one guy played a decent game of sim basketball.

    Problems you'll see-

    1. Guys who constantly run around with one guy on defense to double team you. This is a cheap move because they can recover on D far too fast and can easily turn the game into a joke. Once trapped in double teams, the animation kicks in and there's not much you can do.

    2. Guys who use the spin move too often. Basically, you can get free most of the time by using it.

    3. Nobody runs plays.

    4. A lot of lag in some games.

I have a friend who's getting Xbox live soon, so I'm going to play him exclusively online. Otherwise, I would never play Live online.

I agree. The lag has gotten better as of late, but it's still noticeably choppy at times, especially during free throws. The spin move is more or less unstoppable when executed by a star player, and a lot of guys will take off down the court every time you shoot to get a cherry picked basket at the other end. I have a strange compulsion to play from time to time, but all in all the ESPN NBA 2K5 Live experience is much better, 3 pointers and all.
