Question about Franchise Modes from different EA Studios
I have noticed a huge difference in Franchise Modes being more robust and deeper in games from EA Canada(Fifa, NHL) than games made in EA Orlando( Madden, NBA Live), and wanted to see if anyone knew if there was different technology in the studios or is it was something else. Interested to hear some insight and your thoughts.NBA 2k18 Roster:

i feel NHL has the best Franchise mode of all sports games of this generation of consoles. -
Re: Question about Franchise Modes from different EA Studios
Its sad too when you think about it, EA Canada was developing FIFA, NHL, NCAA March Madness, Fight Night, MVP Baseball and NBA Live all at the same time at some point in the past, and a majority of those sports titles they made from the mid to late 2000s are still heralded for their innovations, mode features and gameplay today.
Not to mention they also had a hand at many of the EA BIG arcade titles like the first two Def Jam games, NBA/FIFA Streets and SSX. The teams were (and i still think are) EA's biggest development teams, so the best resources are there for the sports games.
i remember when Elite got pulled and they moved the series to Orlando/ Tiburon, given Tiburon's track with Madden by 2011-2012, i unfortunately knew it would be a long while til NBA Live got back on the right track.Last edited by chrislive1994; 08-19-2018, 04:01 PM.Comment

Re: Question about Franchise Modes from different EA Studios
Honestly dont think it matters what studio making, couple guys from Canada actually made the move to Orlando as well. Live just hasn't touched franchise mode since 2005, maybe 2006 that just a fact. Ya can dog madden has much as you want, Maddden franchise mode not even in the same atmosphere as bad as NBA live awful franchise mode.Comment

EA Sports' NBA franchise is being moved to the Tiburon studio as reported by 1Up. The news has not been confirmed but comes on a day where layoffs are beginning to take place. Those are being described by EA as the typical seasonal layoffs they complete after release cycles finish and are company wide notComment

Re: Question about Franchise Modes from different EA Studios
i dont think a "couple guys" moving from studio to studio would've made that much of an impact as opposed to keeping it at the Canada studio, where the entire team was.

I wouldn’t call FIFA’s franchise robust. To be fair FIFA’s franchise isn’t that good lol

When is the embargo lifted on your ability to speak in greater detail about Live 19? This is mind boggling to continue watching them not release ANY details other than showing us courts around the world.“What’s better than one billionaire? 2.....”Comment
