Epic fail by EA to not include LeBron in the demo

I think I was directly responsible personally for about 10 sales last year showcasing LeBron from the demo.

Now, the sports world is crazed over LeBron coming off an absolutely unreal season and signing with the Lakers.

He’s all the talk, news and sales in the sports world.

I know this is gonna be one of the best LeBron’s from a video game yet. I’m not worried (I’m
    Buying the full game)

But man we won’t even be able to showcase him this year.

People are itching to get their hands on anything Lakers LeBron.

There’s so much buzz and excitement. Why not capitalize on that? I don’t get it.

Potential buyers see clips coming out of LeBron doing gorgeous step backs, spins, and deep 3s and they go “well damn” and probably try out the demo for themselves.

LeBron sells. Look at what 2k did. Cmon EA.

My concern is that role players play all too much the same again and that’s why EA went with the star studded Celtics in the Finals format.

    Either way, frustrating.

Hopefully they add in conference finals to the demo again

They may not be allowed to have a demo with 2k’s cover boy. It can be seen as using him to market their game without paying him for it.

So yeah, I don’t think they’re allowed to.

For those who feel like you (I'm not of them) it'll just make them even more hungry to buy the game two weeks later to get thier hands on them. Which would prove the exact opposite of an "epic fail".

Not sure about this. I would imagine since they pay for the license just like 2K they would be able to include anyone they please that's legal to use in the official release.

Yeah, I had several people like you last year that I was able to convince to buy the game at launch based off demo clips of premiere players like LeBron, Kyrie, KD, curry.

Live is the most underrated basketball game out there. There isn’t enough exposure.

For the people that have a good idea what we’re getting, yeah you have somewhat of a point, but what about the others?

Can’t crave something you’ve never had a taste of.

Lol I play live and preordered it last year and this year as well. What make you think I don't play it? I'm talking about LeBron James not Live. My point is that people want a good game with good gameplay. Who cares what player is in the demo.

Don't forget Kyrie was the cover athlete last year and Live had the Celtics in their demo.

He is the cover for 2k19 and Cleveland lost him. NBA finals or top teams are always the cover

the Demo would definitely benefit from having LeBron’s Lakers in it and also using him to highlight any gameplay advances to showcase the differences between Live 18 and Live 19

First off, there's the possibilities of EA adding teams later just like they did last year. I wouldnt be surprised if the Demo gets an update the day 2K drops the Prelude with new teams to get people playing the Live demo some more.

Second, I don't think it's going to hurt EA or Live that much, if at all, if LeBron and the Lakers aren't in the demo. People still get to play the game and see it in action a week before the competition's "demo" (which will likely have no NBA teams) and 2 weeks before either game releases. There's also plenty of star power to showcase with these two teams alone. The Warriors are basically an all-star team and the Celtics have a number of exciting, star caliber players of their own.

It might be disappointing LeBron isnt in the demo, as of now, but far from an "epic fail".

I'm more upset that the Cavs aren't in the demo. It's usually the two teams from the Finals. I was looking forward to playing with the Lebron-less Cavs to really test the game and see the changes.
