If I'm up at half I already know the CPU is going to start "lock on" blocking everything at the rim to start the 3rd, lol...I'm not a huge fan of the canned block sequences in the game.

After spending a great amount of time with the demo. For the most part 19 is a slight upgrade over 18, The graphics are superb, but to me it still feels like Live 18 with elements from each pervious iteration sprinkled in.

There are still alot of goofy, arcade-ish things that happens in the game. RPM has made the movement better in some aspects, but on defense there's way to much sliding and skating going on and the players don't move torque or contour their body.

They always look jumpy or flickery when you're trying to change direction and stay in front of your man.

You don't see their hips or joints move as if there's no weight to the players. Imo I feel like player movement was done better in Live 09 the players felt and moved like they had weight to them. For some reason the CPU seems to blow by you at an alarming rate.

Transition defense is awful at times as well as rebounding the players don't react enough.

The A.I still picks off passes that had no idea was coming with it's back turned. This is game-breaking and something that was addressed back in 2K16.

Weight and strength seem to be either spotty or non-existent cause on the street side the women play like men. I had a 6"11 stretch big with an 80 plus strength rating and at times I couldn't backdown and out muscle Elena Delle Donne or Brittany Griner, they stick to you like glue.

There's still a bit of a slight delay with passing and jumpshooting.

Using the right stick to contest shots and put your hands up to close out shooters is not responsive or intuitive enough. it's feels very stiff and sluggish!! It's one of the things I hated about Live 16 and 18.

Ridcidious paint shots and circus layups are still going in at a high rate, Also the CPU gets too many friendly bounces I think EA needs to tune this down just a bit.

Dribble moves are limited after a few possessions up the court you tend to see players perform the same dribble moves.

The street side feels fluid and smooth, but the NBA side does not! It's a shame they have done nothing to fix the NBA part / franchise / team styles / player specific traits. Live 19 is a good beautiful realistic organic street ball game, but a very bad NBA game.

I'm disappointed and I can't justify paying 40 dollars for one mode. It's debatable that the one is better than mycareer outside of VC. But as far as nuance and depth like endorsements, halftime and post game interviews, mvp ceremony, all-star weekend festivities etc...

I feel mycareer gives you more of the NBA experience compared to Live's the one mode when it comes to the league portion.

Lastly, I noticed the free throw routine library has not been addressed in the one mode. I'm seeing the same few free throw routines going back to the Live 16 demo.

Now they've probably added more for the full game, but player free throw routines have been pretty bare the last couple of titles.

I wonder why EA removed alot of player jumpshots that were in last year's title or from Live 16 like Kobe's, Chris Bosh, Zach Randolph, Tony Parker's, Joakim Noah and Rudy Gay's instead of just keeping them to expand to their library.

Changed my mind completely, at first I wasn’t liking the new game...felt like things were slow or clunky...and I really thought I wasn’t liking it.

Then I put in some time, hit the practice court solo and 1v1 to actually practice and work on my skills, what a difference a few hours makes.

I’m now loving the game, there are more new things than I knew about, the off ball offensive controls are really good, takes time to learn and use but can really open up the game. Learning to dribble using the left stick took a little getting used to, but I’ve been pulling off some great dribble moves with certain players. Kyrie does this cross over to like a fast behind the back dribble while backing away from the defender...it is really nice and smooth when pulled off right. I have to experiment more with Curry but have seen one or two different dribble moves with him using only the left stick or combination of left stick and sprint button.

Anyway, I’m liking a lot about the game, the momentum meter and how that’s all working is huge, I’m sure others are seeing similar things...don’t let Klay heat up, or you will be taking L’s...lol.

I’ve mostly been playing nba 5v5 because that’s what I like and play. If I had confirmation that online H2H with nba teams let me invite friends to games I’d have preordered already.

Just waiting to see that and I’ll buy.

EA has made a lot of improvements with this game. And it’s rare I say something good about EA.

If there's one major thing i've noticed on the NBA side of the game it's that I the CPU will give one player the ball a ton if you let them get hot. Love that addition. Frustrating, like in real life!

Defense seems worse than last year. Pick and roll D is nonexistent. Passing into the paint is too easy. Interior defense, aside from shot blocking, is poor. Looks like H2H games are going to be scorefests if the Lakers vs Celtics video is any indication.

Help defense was much better last year. Your cpu teammates were pretty smart. This year they're hugging up on their man and not in help position. More 2Kish in that regard.

I can defend the cpu pretty well when I use the pressure the shooter mechanic. Just have to use it sparingly because the cpu will adjust and start driving on you.

There needs to be more misses especially on some of the circus layups in traffic.

The One aspect of the demo (which will get played the most by me) is fun and refreshing. I actually feel motivated to play multiple aspects of the game since there is a reason to. Ended up going with a 6'8" Playmaker with the Magic Icon and I love the build (especially when I get paired up with teammates who have good bball IQ). That aspect of the game is hella fun for a guy who just wants to pick up and play and not have to deal with a terrible grind just to make my guy competitive online.

I did end up playing some 5v5 NBA and WNBA, didn't touch the sliders, but it was enjoyable. I still will test out a franchise mode just so that I can empathize with a lot of the guys here. But by and large, I'm primarily gonna be a The One player (gotta make my wife when the full game comes out lol).

I'm holding firm to not buying 2K because I wanted something different instead of complaining about everything that comes with that game. I'll evaluate how i'm feeling by this time next year.

You can turn it off. Coach settings, I believe. Or maybe just the regular game settings. I can't remember.

Yeah pick and roll defense is worse than last year, really don't understand why are basketball games having problem with the pick and roll defense in 2018. 2k18 was terrible at it, and now in the demo Live 19 I can score off the pnr most of the time.

I really love how Live 19 looks, If you would take a screenshot from the game, it looks amazing, I was playing on ESPN camera, looks great. The One was great, created a point gawd PG, in some parts Live 19 really feels great, it's obviously better than Live 18 but there are still some things need could be massively improved. I've still not decided what will I be getting, waiting for the 2k prelude atm.

Yep...had one close game and the lack of end game AI is still there.

Celtics down 3 with 8 seconds left.....took a 2. Missed. Grabbed the ORB and, rather than kick it out, dunked the put back. Game over. They lost by 1.

Before anyone says ' it is a demo'....the lack of cpu awareness at the wnd of games has been there for years. This is 'the' ultimate game killer.

Yes I'm one of the guys that's been checking this game out the last few years (and buying it) and although I've enjoyed the game, this issue has turned so many exciting games into disappointment. Even if I win these type games I'm not even happy about it because it breaks the immersion big time...

Unfortunately, the demo didn't make me more excited to play the game. Yes, game play was fun, but the demo capped out too early. It was so barebones that it made me concerned that the actual substance to be found within The One this year is going to be lacking. Worse, it almost immediately forced me to start playing with other people and to suggest that the majority of people playing right now have no interest in doing anything but running around jacking up shots would be an understatement.

Last year's demo made me want to keep playing. This year's demo failed to do so (despite improvements in game play).

Don't see all the hype here.... That 3 on 3 game wasn't that fluid...shaqs face scan is horrible. The ball looks tiny compared to the rim size. Rim dynamics were trash.

One thing I like is that there’s a big difference between good and poor defenders in this game.

On superstar it was a huge challenge guard Kyrie with curry.

I had some successful games and won a solid portion of battles, but when I assigned Draymond on Curry I noticed a huge difference in defensive skill, recovery, and forgiveness.

Also noticed that Kyrie became less aggressive. He didn’t test Draymond as much as he did curry.

That’s one thing I picked up on and really liked.
