Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
Live really improved signature shooting styles...forms differed last year but it almost felt like the bases were the same. Now they have set shots etc.that really stand out.Comment

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
Impressions after a few games. 10 hour trial. Xbox One version.
- Player models are off. Body types need a lot of work, and some of the players look nothing like what they do in real.
- Noticed some questionable calls from the cpu on substitutions. Quick subs after only one play for example.
- CPU PG would drop the ball just before hitting center court. No defender on them.
- Didn't see any additions or improvements in Franchise mode. Looks to be the same as NBA Live 18, with an updated interface/menus. Very bare and weak news around the league and my team menu. I find myself skipping this part in franchise mode and going to my next game. I was hoping for improvements on this part of the game, so this is disappointing.
- top 3 replays of the game are not correct at times. I've seen some nasty dunks that should have been rated #1.Last edited by Peter_OS; 08-31-2018, 08:09 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
Last year the halftime.show previewed the upcoming games night games around the league. Then during the post game show the same games around the league would be shown without updated scores. Has this been fixed? I doubt it but it would be super nice for immersion to get the scores from around the league in the post game show

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
Nor could you import custom rosters into franchise or the league last year. Which is a bummer cause you would have to wait until Erika does a roster update and she was not to swift or consistent with the updates with Live 18. I hope she's more faster and consistent with the updates this time around. Not being able to import your custom roster will make the game feel stale and outdated real quick.

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
My main impression from 3 hours of gameplay....
Live is on par with 2k from a gameplay perspective. Objectively I no longer feel like 2k is better. I genuinely feel confident saying it’s a matter of preference now.
The nba play I had going last night felt a lot like real nba play. More off ball movement. Passing more fluid. Everything felt more realistic and more complete.
Actually feel bad about my demo impressions. But those were very real as are these.
Will not touch the demo after my trial. I think that says something about the gap between the demo and full game gameplay wise.Comment

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
That's strange cuz last year when they added roster editing. I never had a issue importing my custom rosters over to a franchise and being able to play. But it is what it is for now I guess. Thanks for the info

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
That's what I was inferring in the demo impressions thread. There IS a pretty big difference in the feel of the game from demo to retail. I couldn't play the demo after coming back from the Launch party in Cali. Just felt like a regression.
I'm seeing a lot of really nice stuff in retail, basketball wise. I'm also seeing some stuff that I don't care for. Overall, a drastic jump from 18 though.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Official NBA Live 19 Impressions thread
Played all night last night. Personally I thought demo gameplay was better but I’m sure I just need to get used to playing the retail version.
Couple things I didn’t encounter in the demo. There are some weird phantom shooting fouls called. Guys taking wide open shots with no one within 5 feet but a foul gets called. Also the amount of shooting fouls on three point shots is crazy.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

I put in 18 and played a little bit and I do not see a drastic jump from 18 to the 19 demo. So should I expect a drastic jump from the demo to retail?I trust your opinion, just seeing if there are specific things that stand out.Comment
