Patch 1.03 degraded lighting in NBA 5v5

So, from what I can tell, patch 1.03 (which encompasses 1.01 and 1.02) downgraded the lighting/graphics in the NBA/WNBA portion of the game! If you revert to version 1.00 of the game, you will immediately notice a difference!! Suffice to say, this is one gorgeous game with the proper lighting, skin textures in place! Not saying the game was bad looking with toned down lighting.

I also observed Draymond Green committing his signature flagrant/rough fouls!! Has anyone seen this in their games with the patches? I certainly hadn't until the patches were reverted!

Makes you scratch your head and wonder what exactly happened here? Was the change intentional and by design or a side effect of the patch? This needs to be corrected in the next patch and flagrant fouls need to be put back in the game

Unfortunately, you must delete and reinstall the game minus patches (unless there is a better way). Honestly, the best thing would be for the devs to address this concern in an upcoming patch, hopefully the next. I had to reinstall my game due to some corruption issues.

I also want to mention that I have a disc copy of Live 19. Not sure how this will apply to the online version of the game.

I cant say ive noticed any difference in graphics from day one to today. Without direct comparison pictures im not sure there has been any downgrade

Day 1 already included the changes. Only version 1.00 shows the unmodified lighting/graphics. Look closely at the videos I posted. Anyhow, again, at the end of the day, a patch is in order for this and frankly other more pressing issues. No need to waste too much time on this topic. Let's see what'll be included in the upcoming BIG or Title patch which we should hear details about this week.

I see little to no difference in the videos.

Why not do screens? Zoom in on faces etc, not worry about video compression.

Sorry to let you know that I already applied the patches. Game plays better with them IMO, better pick&roll defense, etc. My recommendation is to wait for an up close view (after certain made baskets) in the videos for a better appreciation of the lighting. Notice how the skin glows, sweat, etc. The devs know what to do here, so I'm expecting some adjustments in the next patch.

Still not seeing it and this whole thread seems like a stretch really.

Don’t get me wrong I think the lack of sweat and lighting is a major disappointment but without screenshot evidence your claim is false.

I can't help you with that. This is not a contest. If those videos are not helpful, you may also look back to videos that were released by LSK after EA Play, etc. The lighting, sweat, and improved skin texture/gloss were more prominent. Though graphics contribute to the immersion aspect of the game (would like to have best of both worlds ideally), I am actually more interested in a game that plays well, hence my decision to install the patches.

Fyi, to the community, an apparent key patch should be released this week to most likely address or fortify interior defense, reduce ankle breaker animation frequency, improve or reduce contested shot percentages, player number misalignment, etc.

You should post that patch info in the impressions thread I think a lot of people would really like to hear it. You literally listed my only problems with the game. If that stuff is fixed I will be over the moon man. Good info thx
