    Please explain to me

    1. Why is it so unnecessarily hard to get an OPEN shot in this game? I run plays, pick n roll, iso's etc. The only open shots u can get is spamming pick n roll, pass to the diving roll man and is someone rotates kick it to the corner, That's literally it. I can't even break down centers and power forwards with my point guard. Was just playing the Jazz and apparently Rudy Gobert and Derrick my-knees-are-shot Favors can guard Dennis Smith Jr flawlessly on the perimeter. Can someone email their real life coach and tell them to use this strategy this year. Jeez.

    2. Speaking of pick n roll, why is it so unnecessarily hard to get the on ball defender screened? 99% of the time they quickly slip under or they step over the screen even when there is NO room between me the dribbler and the screener. The game makes them warp in between to force room.

So basically what this game comes down to as far as ways to score is spamming the pick n roll pass to the dive man for a layup, dunk, or occasional kick out when the rotation comes and fast break points. I can't get anything that resembles 5 v 5 game of basketball that includes a variety of shot opportunities. Am i the only one??

It wasn’t like this before the last update. I had to adjust the sliders. I suggest AllStar difficulty then start adjusting. For me I start with Shot Contest Impact for both the user and CPU

there is a big problem with having to adjust sliders. You can't in The One, you are stuck with whatever locked in skill level The Street World Tour is set to and in The League your only choices for skill level are straight Pro, All Star, Superstar you can't change any sliders so you are stuck with the defaults for All Star which are stupid right now after this patch it ruined the game. I wish you could do like NHL series and pick which tuners to use because I would not use anything tuned in the last patch. 50% of passes are picked off even AI to AI, easy layups constantly don't go in. Blocks are insane. Defense is all over you like flys on sh**.

I had just come back to this game from 2K19 after playing it a week after release I went and played 2K19 for 3 weeks then came back to this game loving it. Next day this patch drops and now it is a lot less fun. I might have to go play 2K19 again until the fix this crazy overpowering defense. I mean if people want it like this play Superstar but don't make the people who play The One suffer through these settings for The Street and Court Battles when you can't adjust sliders or have to play Pro where it gets too much easier.

Just give us sliders in The One and that would fix when devs over tune this stuff!!
Go Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, Wolverines!

Amen to all that and then some !!! CPU can bulldozer through Embid and Davis my Center and PF using a WNBA player but when someone even looks at me while taking a shot or going for a layup its a miss lol

As you said passes are ridiculous. You run a pick and roll and defender breaks the pick sticks to you and even locks the lane to pass for the roll so there is nothing you can do.

This is all turning into 2K basketball all over again where they cater to SIM players to make them happy while they have all the sliders and people that play The One are stuck. This game was perfect before this patch now it's just plain dumb. No matter who the CPU has it's OP. They are doing step back 3's like layups and knocking every inside shot and layup in. CPU passes all around with no issues and everything else. But, again your team and player are handicapped. Can't drive the basket cause it's 80% blocked or missed layups, can't hit shots cause most miss, can't hit layups with even a shadow of a defender in the box.

I may have to go back to 2K too this patch ruined a lot of the fun for me.

Also I can't seem to find anyway to get open on corner 3s or 3s in general. Even when I look open the pass is always high so I have to jump for it then no longer open, or they close super fast and even though I thought I was open it ends up a contest. Both Live and 2K have their issues this year there are a lot of stupid things like this in 2k also which is why I came to play Live instead but then this patch :P , I can't win.

At least in The League I can put it on Pro and the pass interceptions seem at that point but you will walk over most teams on Pro if you have a decent team. I'm 5-0 on my new The One Backcourt Defender in The League playing for the Pistons on Pro level. Only team to give me any trouble so far was the Celtics, they were killing me last game up by 25 points in the start of the 3rd, but somehow my team came back and won by 10 lol.... Not sure how I did that, maybe it was the Spicy Dish making my guys hot, worked on like 3 guys.

Same reason I am here after 9 years with 2K year after year. I started from 2k10. I only played My Played and it was one of my favorite modes until 2K decided to bring in VC and start with all the stupid CPU defense and force you to upgrade and spend money.

The One is great in comparison you have to grind for skill points. I been playing few weeks now and only at 84. If this was 2K everyone and their uncle would be 85 now in the park spamming steal and shooting 3s from day 1 release lol

But, with that said the Post Patch sucked all the life and fun out of this mode. I see that Live is trying to make the Franchise mode players happy but I think they forgot about our mode....? It easy to adjust sliders, pass the ball around and run plays with a whole team you can control. I have to play games back to back just to get lucky for a W now. I watch WNBA player get zig zag and shred my defense with ankle breakers, 3s, and layups and I can't even pass one to get a open shot or a layup haha All I can do is just laugh and good thing I dont have anger issues or else my TV and PS4 would be on fire now

That is why I quite playing Street games where you can't adjust the skill level and went to The League playing Pro. It can be too easy but at least I don't want to toss my controller at me $4k OLED, 2K19 makes me want to do that daily if I play on All Star or above in MyCareer.

I am going to try to do this tonight thanks for the heads up! I'm getting tired of seeing Kevin Durant with 7 blocks, 4-4 from behind the line, and breaking ankles at the same time. I guess every CPU player can do everything post patch and your player is still playing varsity ball in High School.
