    just snapped my f'n controller

This game is virtually impossible to beat the cpu, after 10 games i'm like 3-7, just crap, the pgs/sgs penetrate and lay it in, i 've tried every slider known to man on here, just pure crap

sweet jesus it may be time to stop playing videogames, i can't beat the cpu any longer.

Here's an idea: Go outside for a change.

It is only a game after all.

double team the PG and this should stop the penetration. the secrets to winning are momentum, changing defenses and matchups. if the SG is highly rated then let him have his points. but don't let the PG dribble in an kick out. also, double a quality big man.

when the cpu goes on a roll i switch to a zone or half court trap. i never use full court at all. if you use a zone make sure to get a guy on the ball because the zone defense is useless against a fast break.

My simplest suggestion would be take what the defense gives you. Playing this game, my mindset is always "get to the basket." But if the defenders are trying to take that away, like stepping up for a charge, I can always take advantage and create some room for a jumper. Then, that can open up getting back in the lane. Also, to me, it seems like the pro hop is most effective when racing with defenders and you get an angle where you're jumping beside them.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

Cheap inbounds interceptions can help you a lot, just stand in the way of where you think the CPU will pass (if you play enough you'll find out where the CPU likes to inbound) and just pound square, you'll get the ball a decent amount of times. Also if you have at least one or 2 good shotblockers, wait for the CPU to do something stupid like, come inside, and your player will block his shot or layup.

If you have a team like the Sonics, you need to trade for a good shot blocker.
