Why can't they get back into baseball?  Does the show own the rights? Miss the EA baseball games, if they can  get back into the NBA and make a decent game, I think they should get back into baseball.

The Show doesn't have exclusive rights. EA, 2k, Microsoft or whoever can make a baseball game, but they choose not to.

A long time back 2k froze EA out of the MLB market with a third-party exclusive license, but that time has long since passed.

I dont understand why they say adding "The One" was a huge risk.  these modes have been popular in other sports titles, so of course it would work.

Glad they are back in the mix,.  2k vs EA basketball games is probably;y the most polarizing debate when  it comes to gaming.  it's either EA or its 2k.

only way EA will catch up in sales is at the entry point for new basketball gamers.
2k's difficult learning curve will eventually be its undoing.   It would be wise for them to put in a simplified mode for new and younger gamers, including casual gamers.

Truly 19 is the same game as 18 with court battles added.  If you like single player both titles are full of  single player modes.  There are ton of things to unlock.  Honestly I buy these games for multiplayer modes.  No change from 18 to 19.  I actually like 18 better than 19., but both very similar

That's not an accurate assessment at all.

Granted franchise could add some depth but the biggest issues from last year have been corrected. Player editing, CPU trades, a trade block in a sense (which is pretty good), salary cap actually working correctly, cpu simming to your date have all been remedied. Still need restricted free agency, coaching changes and customizable team accessories but it's a lot more fun than last year. Gameplay is excellent.

They should improve on the immersive aspects of this mode but the core foundation is right which wasn't there last year.

Until they have a franchise mode that can go toe to toe with MyLeague, I just can't make the jump.

The game didn’t even debut in the top 20 on npd. So it had to sell less than 50k in its 1st month compared to 2k million plus. EA needs to move on from nba once it’s contract is up.

sucks it didn't sell again, but it's still a good game. Not just a decent game but a good one. They definitely keep testing our patience with these patches tho.

Dudes need to detoxify from 2k before playing Live and come into it with a fresh mind, not just like THIS IS TRASH.

I really feel if there was a NBA Live League like 2k league, the gameplay would be just as interesting if not more. I like that Live is balancing for pvp, but they really are making some mistakes along the way. I guess that's normal, tho. We'll see what happens with this new 'gameplay patch.'

The only reason sucky sales affect me is it's harder to find a game of 5s at all times.

I’m sorry for the dumb question - do you actually play vs human opponent on court battles?

                      Thanks

Nope, you pick your team, edit your court, and make the rules, but once someone tries to take your court, they're playing the a.i. It's fun for a while, but gets old really quick.

Ouch is right, I wonder how many digital copies sold.

Still a long ways to go.
