Anyone tired of the rubber-band catch-up AI logic?
I am sick and tired of it. I am currently 19-16 with the Washington Wizards and I simply cannot muster anything more than a 2-game winning streak and anything more than one consecutive win is near impossible simply because whenever I get close, magically the CPU becomes God-like and starts hitting every shot, regardless of how in their face I am and they start stealing every pass I make. Obviously, I am exaggerating, but it still is ridiculous when the CPU becomes unbeatable. I don't mind losing, but I want to lose realistically. If the CPU shoots 50% from the field and plays well, hey, I'll accept the loss. But when they shoot 43% and I shoot 50% but they get 25 offensive rebounds and 24 steals, that's when the catch-up AI logic becomes apparent and it is making me consider trying ESPN basketball. Anyone else having a similar problem? By the way, I play on the hardest difficulty level using my own superstar sliders.Tags: None -

The catch-up AI is much better this year than past years. Real teams go on runs, and this year, the runs are much more realistic (it's not perfect, but it's playable)Comment

Don't forget guys, when you set up for a pick your defender will slide around the pick and "extend himself to force a bad shot"Comment

I played 2 games and eneded up blowing the CPU off by 20 on the first and winning by 6 on the second. (OT)
Just go to your team's strengths and call timeouts on runs and you should win the game. When you have a good lead after the first half, don't try to force anything and waste the clock. Even though the CPU might end up outscoring you, the clock was also killed.
Make sure you play defense accordingly as well.
