I think teasing and setting dates is kind of weird for games. I mean, sure teasing makes sense. There will be leaks of stuff... video, features, but when you set a date, I don't know if people are like YES and waiting ( I know I'm not), and if you ever miss that date then you look bad.


Set a date for game release and demo release, but I don't see why you'd worry about setting a date to announce the game or who is gonna be on the cover.



Can't believe people still think 20 isn't coming out. They could release basically the same game, with only a few tweaks, for like 40 and it would still be worth it and they'd sell some copies. I am hoping that's NOT what their plan is, but I mean where they are now, it makes no sense to cancel the game. Especially with as many disaffected 2k players. haha.


Even tho most disaffected 2k people end up back on 2k, if they buy Live that's good for Live. Gotta get that competitive scene better and clean up the bad behavior.

Why did EA didn't announce anything about NBA Live already ? It's mid July. They announced pre-order of NBa live 19 last year in Late June.

It’s on their yearly press release from a few months ago. I figure that two things are a possibility.

1. Cover athlete is wearing a jersey Nike has not revealed yet like Harden in 18. Nike has 75 New Jersey’s being revealed in the next few weeks.
2. Let 2k own July like every year and hype the game from end of July/early August until launch. Constant flow.

1 is more reasonable for me. That makes sense.

2- About that i heard that they might be sick of 2K stealing their ideas who announced their game after Live last 2 years. I don't know about that one but the 1st idea is something that I can rock with.

Hey by the way if you and anyone else noticed the change in gameplay with latest updates? Finishing moves and other stuff... They added a lot of animations. I take it as a preparation for Nba Live 20. So it's possible that we'd have these moves in Nba Live 20 as well. I really like the state of the game right now. The finishing animations are much more diverse than the build version

Oh yeah. I updated rosters myself and have been playing with the Mavs. It's nice. Shooting still feels kind of off to me but I am having fun for sure.

I wish. I saw it on twitter.

City jerseys change every year. That is 30 right there. Earned edition for the teams in the playoffs is another 16. That is 46 different. I believe the Mavs have 2 new ones. The Warriors also have new jerseys. Not sure of the rest.

I think Nike will continue to push new gear. I also thought 75 was a lot.

Saw NBA Live just dropped a roster update with the latest free agent blockbuster moves. At least someone is working for EA NBA... prob an intern, who knows.

Anyway, from all the signs they're giving, and the absolute silence, I FIRMLY believe that EA is not certain they're coming out with NBA Live 20 just yet. No evidence... just tea leaves. I'm not saying it's cancelled, just saying they don't know themselves what they're going to do (and we fans suffer for it).
