Which Live Was The Best of the 360/PS3 Generation?
I'm in a retro state of mind with all my gaming right now and want to find an old NBA Live game? Which was the best during that era? To be honest, I only played 10 and def enjoyed it."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Tags: None -

The one with D-Wade on the cover was [emoji90]
It was really bad. They did do a good job on players sweating but that's it.

true but 09 was better cuz it had ranked team play. That Live Run ish where you picked a superstar was garbage imo.
PS3 dudes should remember TEAM RUSSIA in 09 teamplay. MOTHER RUSSIA IS WET.

I thought Live 09 was the best. 10 introduced some cool features, but I didn't really enjoy the gameplay.Comment

The thing that sucked about 09 is it had go to moves that were money. I remember this guy putting 40 on me with Dirk's go to move. He was good. My friend was trying to help, and I got kind of salty after the game and was like dude stop helping lemme just focus on stopping him, and I mean... I did. I shut him down hardcore, so it was possible to stop that or like the little Steve Nash shot, Tony Parker floater... but they were super cheesy and you had to play really well. And one of those games it would always freeze if you did a tip in at the buzzer. haha, we'd be playing a private game and beating down on some people and someone would tip at the buzzer just to freeze the game. It's like... agh.

The best one was Between Live 09 and 10. But I'll tell you the game that is responsible for NBA live's position in the hoops game race today. NBA live 07.

I liked Live 09, but the defender-glue and weird physics involved every time you get sucked into the defender (basically every time) just ruined an otherwise enjoyable game.
Iiked Live 10 once I figured out the Layup Solutions, but still thought something was missing that I liked about 09. Overall 2 good games, both took a big leaps over 08.
I think EA (and the Live franchise) never fully recovered from the 360 version of Live 07. That's when the collapse started. The Elite problems were just another classic EA terrible decision making, but it didn't start in 2010.My Specs:

Idk, my favorites were the ones on Sega Genesis. After those, something never felt 'right' for me with B-ball games.
96 is prob my favorite.Last edited by Anthraticus; 09-29-2019, 10:23 AM.Comment

NBA Live 09 imo. Was incredibly fun. Might not have been the most polished game in comparison to 2k at the time but it was a blast online.Comment

I really liked Live 10 but it's Dynasty Mode was pretty bad. Very limited. NBA Live 05 had a better dynasty mode. Heck, Live 2004 did too imo.NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats
MLB: Atlanta Braves
NBA: San Antonio SpursComment
