I'm not surprised as far as I'm concern this franchise is dead! For one EA can not tell their community they're all in for next-gen and not have the game listed on the fiscal year.

I believe they quit and they should let their fans know. EA isn't trying or giving them any kind of hope. The people who are still playing Live 19 haven't had an update since they promised them an update.

It's possible they just aren't ready to announce it yet. One of the bottom points on that say:

"We expect to announce additional title releases in FY21 over the coming months, including an unannounced EA SPORTS title, an additional EA HD title, four EA Partners titles and two mobile soft-launches."

We were talking about this in the other thread.

Ea or the nba never did clarify if Ea did indeed re-up the agreement for the game.

2k did, it was 7 year deal.

Nothing for Ea ???

So it’s one of two things.

1) the game is dead and the contract wasn’t re-up’d and Ea
Just never said anything or addressed it because they were defeated.

2) this report has nothing to do with next gen games.


99.9% it’s number one.

Live ain’t coming out for next gen, it’s dead.

Many speculate that its likely UFC 4 being that it has been consistently well received.

Thinking this might be a next gen exclusive this Live was literally the game I was most interested in seeing. They made huge strides in the last couple games and I thought the foundation was something really solid to build on. But now just crickets and they are not even going to release a game again this year. At least tell us if something is in progress or not so we can stop periodically checking up on it.

I could see a situation where they are taking 2 years to fully develop for next gen. They need more than 1 year off to focus on next gen and fix problems from ground up. Unless they are on a wait and see situation with Live, I don't see it being the unannounced. I rather take another year to rebuild foundation and fully develop for next gen. EA has shown a lot of patience with Live. But fan their diehard fans will start walking if they come back to more mediocrity.

I see UFC 4 as the unannounced title. Unless it is Skate 4, Golf, or a new title, UFC 4 makes the most sense. That game typically releases every couple years and it is due for a release. I would love EA to go to the NBA route instead of competing with 2k. A well done Street would sell well and would be on a different lane than 2k.

I would love to see Fight Night or NBA Street return!! According to Andrew Wilson, he states that they have a great relationship with the NBA and that they want NBA Live to deliver more interactive content. I'm not sure what this means, but we'll have to wait and see. EA always say one thing and do something else.
