Do people not realize that the fastbreaks DO work in Live 05?

Do people not realize this? There is just this dumb thing in the game that makes people think that the fastbreaks are broken. Here it goes.

If you get a rebound and try to push it the fastbreaks will not work and the players will stop at the three-point line and turn adn catch the pass. But, on a steal or block and fastbreak is under way. if you get a steal your guards will sprint up the court and streak towards the hoop, catching the ball on the run. Same if you block a shot, pass the ball up because your players will be streaking. Also, your players will not streak to the hoop if you don't have numbers.

I think that EA does this because they don't want the game to become a run n' gun type on every play. They want you to give the ball to the point and set up the offense.

Play a real BB game. ESPN NBA 2K5. If its in the Game, It's In ESPN BB.
No Diss to Live but I have it and ESPN plays much better.

I have played both and unlike you, I prefer Live.

Actually its just like Mike said on steals and blocks, occassionally you can get some of rebounds but its rare. Also you have to have numbers like he said and you can get some nice breaks, especially if you steal near half court.

Fast breaks don't work. Sometimes my PG would be running down the court while my SG and SF run and stop at the three point line instead of making a 3 on 1 break. Same thing with a 2 on 1 break.

I would have to manually select a player and make him run to the hoop with me and that's sad.

the fast breaks DO work. only with roster edits. with normal rosters they dont. not my opinion but this has been tested.

i force the cpu into a bad shot or miss, grab the rebound, outlet pass to somebody and watch them run.

but as stated in another thread awhile ago, to get the motion of the catch and run you have to be facing that direction while catching the pass (mostly on the baseline high/low angles)

well i'm gettin like 28 fast points a game wonders what you guys are doing wrong

when i still block or intercept or even get a rebound i instantly start hitting l2 to pass quickly and if someone is reach of a oop there u go
