Do you have any beefs with the player rating in LIVE?

Are there any ratings that you guys really dis-like?

If so, who are they and what would you like to see changed?

Tim Duncan rated an 89. I think that's the same as Paul Pierce.

They took too naive an approach with rating the players.....

They should rate the players PARTIALLY by last seasons's stats, and also on potential and what they have done in years past that they could still do today.

And they should fix the speed ratings too, that's a major problem........ damn near every young PG/SG who's not a star has a 70 or 75 speed...... Marcus Banks is faster than 75 speed.

They've really stunk in rating rookies since they went with their 0-100 system. I remember in Live 2004 Dwyane Wade had a 35 dunk rating and Fred Jones had a 10.

Lastly they should give more weight to blocks and rebounds and strength for PFs and Cs so their overalls can match with the best PGs and SGs. This would eliminate the Kobe Bryant havin a higher overall than Shaq deal.

Amare Stoudamire is rated like a 75 and Nash is also too low, LeBron is a little low. Rookie ratings suck........like Deng and Gordon. I know it is hard to do ratings on rookies, but at least fix this on the updates. The updates should reflect the season the person is having.

the good thing is that we can change players ratings,The thing that just ticks me off is the simulation style in franchise mode for this game,i mean c'mon in my cavs franchise right now the bobcats are 18-1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben Gordon was a freaking 55 speed in the original.

I think there is just too few players rated 80 or higher. It just might be that I am used to Madden or something, but after like the top 10 players, there seems to be a huge dropoff. I think Gilbert Arenas should be at least an 80something. Also, I think that a lot of FG ratings are way off. Doesn't LeBron have a 70's FG rating? Same with KG. Should be much higher.

Re: Do you have any beefs with the player rating in LIVE?

I think its safe to say nobody on these boards knows more about player ratings in Live than me. You guys havent heard from me yet, but thats because I havent finished my tweaked rosters yet, including my classic teams.

As people said, speed is off and because its off, that also means quickness is off, since they are very closely related, usually only within a few points of each other.

Inside Scoring rating is atrocious. Basically, they carried over most of the ratings from the previous Live. Thats why Stoudemire is rated low, as somebody mentioned earlier, his inside scoring rating by default is I think 60? Same as it was in Live 2004. I came up with a formula for this rating which works a lot better. This put Stoudemire at 99 inside scoring for this season, along with Shaq.

FG rating is also all wrong, for same reason as inside scoring.

                        3pt ratings needed adjusting.

Good ratings (as long as the player has played enough minutes and is not a rookie): Off rebounding, Def rebounding, Stealing, Blocking, Off Awareness, Passing, Free Throw, Fatigue
They dont really reflect how a player has played this season...but who the heck can correctly guess something like that before the season starts?
