EA Event on 20th is FIFA not LIVE

Just to squash anyone's hopes that still had some lol. They tweeted out that it is FIFA powered by the new "hypermotion"

The worst part of this is that the new motion tech is most likely tech that was seemingly being developed first for basketball a couple of years ago by this guy that works for EA. Here is a link showing what he had in development.

I guess the reports of them stripping the Live team to work on other games, mostly Madden must be true as well because here is a video showing new Madden 22 features that were ripped straight from NBA LIVE.

I was surprised that they revealed it now. I guess the Fifa cover was going to be leaked, that's why they probably revealed it ahead of schedule. I assume that Madden will get Hypermotion next year. Which makes sense, Madden didn't seem to get too many gameplay improvements this year.

It does suck, it does make you wonder if they are done with Live.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it's over for live, at least for the forseeable future. I looked at all their job postings and they have multiple postings for Madden, Fifa, UFC, NHL, and even Skate, PGA, and NCAA. No mention of NBA Live. Guess we can put a fork in it. Worse yet is that I am sure 2k probably knows this as well and now they have no competition even in the rear view or peer for inspiration. The basketball gaming landscape has been getting consistently worse for a couple of years now and this just gives me even more pessimism for the future.
