Would you recommend buying this game in April?

    First off,

I rented it back in October and liked it, and had planned to buy it w/ some Christmas cash. But Christmas cash never came.

Then school and life got real busy, next thing I know it's February and V3 drops. So I took a chance and bought V3 instead of Live.

I gave V3 a chance for 6 weeks and it's time to trade it in (for many reasons).

I feel like I never got my basketball fix this year and was considering trading it in for Live '05...

but do you guys think Live is worth it at this point? Or should I just count my hoops losses this season and wait 6 more months (since this game has been out 6 months already)?

    late!

Well if you want updated rosters, forget it...buy ESPN!!

It is totally ridiculous for a company as large as EA to not support their products. Visual concepts has had a roster update avalible for 3 weeks now.

My patients are wearing thin,,,,,,the game is about to get traded in on somthing else.

With the NBA playoffs coming up I say heck yeah buy it and just play in season mode and Sim through most of the season after you update the rosters.

Get a set of good sliders from this forum and start playing. The game is very good and exciting if you ask me. I'm just barely getting to All-Star weekend in my season mode. Most of my games are awsesome even if I'm getting beat down. I play about 2-3 games a week usually playing the games that have top teams matched up.

I haven't found myself bored with Live this year at any point which is something new because the past three Lives would collect dust after about a moth. I can't waite to get the playoffs rolling.

Save your money and just invest in something else for the simple fact that you will have the opportunity to get the next installment within a couple of months. Patience is the key here. If you really feel that you can be patient enough, then just save that trade in of V3 for the next installment of Live. I personally would attempt a buy off of ebay or half.com
