    Why can't EA's artists do this?

    Basically gave up on the NBA games this year as, IMO, they all were pretty weak once the gloss wore off. Stuck with the college games which were excellent.

    With the play offs here...felt like some NBA ball, so sold my xbox Live and ESPN and got LIVE on PC.

    Gameplay wise...the same problems exist. The patchmakers do make it better though with tonnes of edits and some sort of hybrid play sets. (Game really needs these fixed by 2006).

    Anyway...forget the gameplay issues. This thread is purely about graphics.

    Year after year the PC patch makers come up with killer graphics for the PC version...

    Year after year, EA comes up with cartoon like graphics. Some players not even close to looking realistic.

    Given that the EA guys are paid to do this...it's their job...and the patch guys get SFA...why are the patch guys able to make stuff that it's MUCH better?

    The EA guys just don't try? The patch guys should be working at EA?

    Why can the pacth guys do this (below) and EA can't get close?

      Yeah I don't know man nbalive.org logos are the shiznit i wonder why ea can't put out anything that good.

              I'm just straight up loss or something. Please, inform me cause I'm seriously not on the same page as the rest of those who know the deal....

                      Yeah the textures aren't great in Live, but it's the crappy player models that give it the cartoon look. PC patchers can't change that.

                          I still see all the player graphics i put up?? You guys don't?

                          Side note: the "sliding" on the PC version is BEYOND BAD. Much worse than the consoles. I don't know if the higher resolution simply means I'm seeing it clearer...but the players look like Torvill and Dean out there!!

                              Speaking of graphics, after the Madden screens, I can't wait to see Live and ESPN in Next-Gen.
