hey guys, great work on all this stuff.. I have a question though, sorry if its been asked already..How do I change the athleticism and vertical sliders thoug, or even just the individual sliders period... I can't find it.. nevermind, i got it.

I should be done with all teams Playbooks by that time.

But if this truly works why only the starting five?

I'll do two teams this evening and if it works I'll most likely do enitre rosters because once the sub's come into the game if you have speed set at 26 they will all move like snails until the starters comeback into game.

I know it's alot of work becuase I've been there and done that but if I see the samethings you posted and described I would most likley have to take over your project..............

I'm just starting with the starting 5 to see how every team plays

cool i released you have to save rosters in order to keep your player editing in tact. Stupid me i was thinking the autosave did it NOPE.


Anyway I have about 9/30 teams done so far. Only starting 5 though.

Should we keep the autosave on or off. Is it better to just save things yourself manually

actually..if you make a roster chnage (change a starter) than it will auto save your rosters...

Quick question, if you lower th vertical on all players, won't that remove the High Flyers?

Wow! I am not sure what it is, but the game is now playable for me. I hated this game out of the box, but your adjustments have just made this a pretty decent game. I rented it, but I just may buy it now. Are you going to do all the players with these edits and post them? What will happen in Dynasty Mode with rookies and player progression?

How are you testing...CPU vs CPU or are you playing the games yourself?

I haven't had time to try any of the changes but I worried it will make all the players be the same.

Wow! I am not sure what it is, but the game is now playable for me. I hated this game out of the box, but your adjustments have just made this a pretty decent game. I wanted to give this game half a chance at least. i always like NBA Live's brand of basketball and i love what Ea does with NBA street. I saw so many options to edit this year that i just started plugging away at the speed settings only to fix the fluidity of the game. i guess PM did this last year with 06 for the 360 so i'm not doing anything revolutionary but i did discover the brightness contrast thing so that's all my own at least.

I plan on editing the rosters but this will take time. after i edit these i will edit the superstars so that they reflect their realife skills better.
i have didfferent gameplay settings and where PM makes his game more sim with strengthening the CPU skill and making authentic playbooks i just set my gameplay sliders to all out fun mode. But of course i'm not pushing that kind of gameplay on you all so i just work on the speed of the players so that their in game motion is just better and runs smoother.

I'm play testing it myself literally hrs have gone by of me going back and forth focusing on whats good and what really bad because there is no so so with NBA live 07 it's either hey nice or oMG thats horrible.

Nope. I only change speed. higher for guys in the lanes and top of the key and lower for guys inside in the box. trust me it plays inifinitely better well i wouldn't say that but it does look like the motion is much more fluid at least. the settings i have are staying i am happy with them only ones that might change will be after i go through the entire league and play teams and see what the results are based off of about 3 magazines I have of the 06-07 NBA season

If you guys use my speed settings along with PM's settings/playbooks you will have a much better game in your 360 guarenteed. One that should have come edited like that already by EA and one that would be getting COMPLETELY different reviews

Hi Tomba,

I like your approach to Live 07 but one potential headache I see is the conflict between making changes to player ratings and Roster Updates.

Basically once you change the ratings for every player on every team....this will eliminate any chance of doing a Roster file update as they are released throughout the season. Wouldn't an update completely wipe out any changes you make to the ratings?

IMO, wouldn't it be best to wait for the OPENING DAY Final Rosters to come out and then start changing/tweaking players ratings? That way, it will be much easier to *manually* update the roster files since very few little changes (trades, free agent signings, cuts, etc) take place after opening day. Just an idea. Keep up the excellent work.
