Anyone tried this yet? I looked on Youtube for a decent block video, but no avail. I'd love to see some really hard blocks. Kinda like KG in the Live 09 trailer.

I was going to test this for you guys but then realized my slider was already maxed.

I'll be posting a youtube video of my uploaded Live 09 videos probably today sometime, you can see the amazing non difference there.

There was never an animation put into the game for the different types of block shots.

EA needs to revamp the entire shot blocking system IMO.

In fact every year you can barely get off perimeter shots because clowns are using 50 inch verticals out on the wing defensively.

And to be honest the shot blocking in this game doesn't look realistic unless you take game speed down and balance it out with player speed being increased. That way you'll see the defender go up to block the shot in a realistic manner as opposed to jumping like he just got shot out of a cannon.

game plays 10x's better with the proper edits in many ratings catagories, sliders and speed setting but I just got too lazy and never bothered to edit all of the stuff that makes a huge difference. But there was nothing really anyone could do to alter the power behind a block shot.

well i tried this last night, absolutely no difference at all

what i did notice that IF you time your block right you can get a "semi big" block (sliders up or down,doesnt matter)

What you gotta understand about the sliders is that it's not so much about ability as it is how often an animation is triggered. Maxing out blocks more often than not will just end with you having a lot of blocks cause outside of the animation (i.e. that one type where the defender just barely gets his hand up and your shot is blocked before it even leaves your hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhl_E8wS78A)
