Use the pivot button, use fakes more, and also, if you increase the player speed one or two notches to the right of the middle, you will get blocking fouls called if you run into a defender. Frankly, it needs to be implemented better because there should be a risk of getting an offensive foul if you do this. Besides, the player speed at that point becomes TOO fast, but if you keep it at the middle, blocking fouls are almost never called the right way (i.e. you're trying to drive to the basket and there's somebody standing in your way who doesn't have his feet set so a blocking foul is called.) I've seen defenders just run into the ballhandler and get a blocking foul called but that's not really proper.

These are good tips for Human vs CPU, but what about cpu vs cpu? I seen a combine 12 free throws shot between cpu vs cpu!! Probably won't get fix until ID 2004..

Yeah, that is the problem. I stated in my ID 2003: the Problems post that the AI should try to draw fouls more. It doesn't do that enough. Other than that, the AI is still pretty damn good at attacking your defense, as long as you actually PLAY defense and try to stop the AI from scoring. There are games where you'll rarely ever foul. In fact, I just completely trashed the Pacers with the Nets in the Playoffs for 2 consecutive games in the first round. I just decided to jump into a playoff series last night, and it was pretty damn nice. Both games were blowouts, in 12 minute quarters. The first game, I hardly fouled anyone, because the AI was so inept at getting the ball inside. They had no 3-point threats (no reggie miller for some reason) so I was free to do whatever I wanted. The next game, the AI made a conscious effort to try to fastbreak at every opportunity. In the beginning, it was working, but then I got them into a halfcourt game by taking great care of the ball and taking good shots. I fastbreaked as well, and my team just completely clobbered the Pacers again.

Depends on whether I take quick shots or use the clock, but generally I have around 105 FG attempts and 50 rebounds per game. This is with the Wizards

I like to keep the rebounds down between 35-50.If i was to play 12 min quarters i'd probably have around 70.How do you keep the rebounds down when playing longer minutes? Are your offensive rebounds low?How many?

Still more complete suggestions waited. Like the guy who posted a thread "ID fouling" and gave sliders and ways to get fouls. neo, it seemed like you came up with the full package...

Another thing, fouls aren't called much against you either. You could counter this with the intentional foul button but there are three issues: A) you foul, but you don't do anything to the opponent, he can score just as good should he never been fouled B) it's hard to actually hit the opponent, it should be an automatic foul every time you press the button C) th ebutton is in an inconvenient place in the reagular controller

These tricks are pretty generic though, you should be able to decide yourself how much fouls you want.
