How do you like the game.
I'm only 13 games into this game and I'm loving it.
I;'ve lost 85% of them but I'm playing on All-star. The really punish you if you dont defend the 3.

SO far Im enjoying it....I loved last year's game and thought it was better than NBA 2K2...but then I got NBA 2K3 and was having a blast with it and got used to alot of 'bad habits' that 2K3 lets you aquire.....It's definitely different then 2K3. Gameplay-wise, I'd have to say that it may be a little better at working the ball around and mixing up the attack against you. Also the inside post game is a bit better and allows you more freedom and mobility. Also this game forces you to really defend because you dont have NBA 2K3's invisible force field wall surrounding you that stops a surging player. However, there are still some things in NBA 2K3 that I like better, I think there are more animations and better ball physics that vary alot more off the rim. Also there seems to be more bad and deflected passes in 2k3. In Inside Drive, it seems like every pass either gets caught or picked off but I havent seen deflected or tipped passes that get loose....Maybe its in the game but I havent seen it yet. Also I like the fact that NBA allows you to set your Play Calling to AUTO with MESSAGE so it displays your Offensive/Defensive plays each drive so you know what to set up for....in Inside Drive, I dont know what play my coach is calling and its a pain to keep hitting the digital pad to manually choose one each drive...unless I am missing a place you can set this to display your plays?
As far as back and forth flow...it's too soon to tell but it seems like in Inside Drive, when your team gets cold and the other team is hot, it can be very difficult to hit any shot unless right under the rim...and even that can be an easy miss if your team is on the downside of a streak....In 2K3, the streaks seemed to be a bit more natural and progressive and swing back and forth more realistically. However, this could be just an inaccurate observation after only a few games of Inside Drive....I'd have to play more to make a better assessment.
So far, Im enjoying it better than last year's ID. They really cleaned up alot of the problems. I would tho have liked to see more pushing and shoving under the boards fighting for positioning and perhaps more fluid ballhandling and running...this area appears to bit a bit stiff and dull. Also I cant stand the PUSHIN IN of the right analog stick along with a direction to LOB when 2K3 allows you to easily and more naturally just push the stick in a direction.
DO player's ratings actually progress during the season if you utilize them more and get them hot? I have the Progression set to NATURAL, I felt Progressive was too MADDEN TOIKEN-ish and arcade likeComment
