Yeah. It is a crap shoot basicially, because I only really took into account, when I played those games, Shaquille O'neal.

I know his real life limitations and he cannot do some of the things he is doing.

I just lowered the hookshots rating and the Dekes for both parties (CPU and USER) because I didn't want all of my settings at default while the CPU had an unfair advantage. Therefore everything is set at the same level.

Some examples.

Shaquille O'neal was catching the ball at the FT line, dribbling between the legs, deke's around Adonal Foyle, and dunking it home. He is still dominant with the new settings but He no longer is effective at dekeking around guys.

The dunk rating is down 3 notches yet I still see an array of dunks being performed by multiple players. I do however see a slight change. The change is, big time Dunkers can no longer dunk over 4 guys from 10 feet away. With these new settings in effect, the dunkers can only dunk over 2 guys, 6 feet away.

All these sliders don't decrease the fun, they just make the game as a whole more realistic.



I will play a game with teams other than the lakers and warriors and see if these new theories hold true.

Like hooligan stated, the 2pt. and 3pt. changes are a given, but everything else is up in the air.

Maybe I can straighten it out with a few games with teams around the league.

WallyHopp, I tried your settings EXTREMELY BRIEFLY last night, so not enough to give impressions, although things seemed much better. One quick thing I thought of though, with FG attempts higher than usual, and then dropping down the FG%, how many rebounds are you seeing in your game? Are there too many? Just curious.

One quick thing I thought of though, with FG attempts higher than usual, and then dropping down the FG%, how many rebounds are you seeing in your game? Are there too many? Just curious.

Around 37-40 a game per team.

Some times it's lower.

I had 27 against the lakers while they pulled in around 44.

The real life lakers average 45. a game.

Is that with the Speed setting one notch down? I didn't change that setting, but I may try that. Those look pretty good. Thanks for the info

Yeah it's in one of my ladder posts. Speed down 1 notch.

More changes may be on the way this weekend. I'll play a few dozen games then.

I played with them a tad this morning (I'll give them a good run through this evening after class). The shooting was definitely down. I was the lakers, and was shooting around 45%, but the Magic who I was playing against was only shooting about 36%. And everything else seemed better, but I just have to give them more than just a quarter or so of play.

I get around 80-90 shot attempts a game. The nba averge is 85.

I get around 40-50 rebounds a game. The nba average is around 45.

One issue still lingering is the FT attempts. The nba average is around 22-25 Ft attempts a game. I get anywhere from 5 to 20 a game.

Then again It just be my way of playing.

Also FG% is also very close to the nba average.
