Fouls are just not right in ID 2003
It's obvious that ID 2003 needs more FT attempts, but what I've noticed is the animation to foul is TERRIBLE. Instead of holding the arm so the player can't get a shot off when he drives and goes up for the shot, the player just slaps him, and the player makes the basket as if it was nothing. IMHO, this goes a LONG way towards resolving the fouling issue, since if most of the shooting fouls do not become And 1's the free throws will actually be double what they are now. So 15 FT attempts become more like 25 and so on (of course, some And 1's will occur, but not to the extent ID 2003 has it). One other major factor is the players do NOT sacrifice their bodies by positioning themselves inside or outside the arc under the basket. So no blocking/charging fouls called there. Hopefully these issues will be fixed along with the shot arc, rim physics (they're good but they seem a little stiff and there should be long rebounds at times). And there definitely needs to be 3/4 court pressure and full court pressure by the AI in the game.Tags: None -

Not sure what you mean. I think these are the MAJOR problems in the game that hold it back from being the ideal b-ball sim. I noticed another thing, however that also is a problem. the turbo. That really needs to be toned down. The AI really needs to use it less, and the turbo should only last for a few seconds or something, before resorting to normal running speed. At least this way, defenders have a chance of catching up to you, which might also include fouling you. These are just the problems I've noticed in the game, and I think they are the major ones holding the game back from being what it could be.Comment

WTF? This is the biggest problem in ID.
How about some reasoning?Comment
