Re: NBA INSIDE DRIVE 2004 hidden players...

good news. im finally back playing this game. you can thank hot summer days for that.

I have the capabilities to record and post some gameplay vids of ID 04'.

    any requests?

btw, my first game back, i lose by 43.. best loss ive ever had.

I chose the knicks who have nobody and face the best team in the LA Lakers. Ive modified the allstar level sliders just alittle bit. but what a fun game and change of pace.

    -ALLSTAR level
    -10 minute qrts.
-Modified sliders for lower success in almost every catergory except blocks where its raised for both user and CPU

Kobe goes off scoring 44 pts. 4 boards. 5 assists on 16/37 shooting... 9/11 fts. Gary Payton was on fire as well hitting some nice jumpers in my face. 37 pts 2 boards 6 assists on 16/24 shooting. SHAQ was 8/12 shooting, with 16 pts and 21 rebounds. Two centers and some forwards on the lakers all had the most rebounds. very realistic stuff right there.

time to practice alittle more. I may turn down gamespeed just a bit and lower qrt length down 1 for better rebounding Numbers.

        More videos coming soon.
***LOOK DOWN BELOW at my newest post for more videos***

Here are two more human vs cpu games that i played.

CPU Detroit dominated me with jumpers off screens.

I changed the quarter length to 8 for this game. I was the suns, cpu was pistons

Billups ended up with 26 pts. on 10/24 shooting. Semi accurate, to the nba like numbers. I need to get better at shooting, so the CPU doesnt have that rebounding edge. If I had just shot a normal percentage of 46%, they would have had almost 10 less boards.

This next game I faced one of the best teams in the game, the san antonio spurs. 8 minute qrts
Playing my heart out with Rasheed Wallace, I still lose:

        CPu stat box:

Greatest thing of all was that Duncan was in foul trouble most of the game, yet he still has the most attempts. When duncan went out of the game, the game knew the backup malik rose was not timmy D, so they went elsewhere.

im telling you, 2006 or 2007 shouldve been the best year ever for these games. id2004 was on the brink of a truely successful and groundbreaking title.

WOW! That was one great vid!!! I really loved how the CPU sets plays and moves the ball to the open player, or at least the one who the play is drawn for. The only thing that's off is that the CPU rarely starts a break with the PG, seems like Stevenson and T-Mac carried the ball most of the time. But it was still great! The dunks and layups are awesome! Put some more please.

Re: NBA INSIDE DRIVE 2004 hidden players...

only ID02 is 360 compatible so far. i brought my originial xbox brick out of the closest.

this video uploading now is something else.

You really see some great ADAPTIVE AI in the works here. Shaq picks up three fouls in the 1st qrt. so the 2nd qrt, its pretty much all kobe. whereas the first quarter, you see shaq getting touches and plays run. Youll rarely see cook get touches let alone plays.. its all kobe in the 2nd half. for the spurs, its nothing but set plays for tim duncan.

Brutual stuff for a human player to defend.

one-two years of refinement and this game wouldve been something else. Its a bittersweet moment

First Quarter of SPurs @ Lakers.:
First quarter action between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers

*give it 20-30 minutes to finish loading

                  2nd qrt finished:

                  entire second half here:
Second Half action of the Spurs and Lakers. Great finish. Continuation from gameplay footage # 2 and 3

                  Great finish.

post #23.. its all there... amazing stuff considering 2k4 was the year they only had four plays, some would say mainly due to one of the IGN reviewers complaining about plays... then you see this.

im not sure if through the quality of the video, you can see this, but theres are times where you think the play is going left, but they work the ball back around and rework the play to the right... many stuff that was before its time technical wise. you think for a second or maybe a few minutes, this crap is scripted to a tee, but then youre just blown away. I was sitting here watching and cheering on kobe, hoping his teammates would give him the ball every time.

now the game isnt without its faults (ie many many and 1's and sometimes instances of offensive rebounds occuring too often) but despite that, it was ground breaking stuff that many did not get to experience.

BTW, be sure to lower your volume, for some reason my capture card records audio at 3x to 4 times higher than normal.

One thing I want to check out sometime soon, possibly wednesday or thursday, is replaying lakers and spurs in SA with the same settings and hoping SHAQ doesnt get into foul trouble. Without that obstacle, LA shouldve won this one in a landslide. itll be fun to see how different or the same the next game will pan out
