i can not decide weather to buy nba live 2010 or nba 2k10. i started out playing video game basketball with nba live in 2000 but switched to the 2k franchise in 2005. after both of the games 2k9 and live 09 were a joke at best i really dont know which one to buy could you guys sway me a certain way please

Don't know how to sway you either way since we're sitting here 4 months before release.

We haven't even seen any real screenshots or gameplay videos, lol.

How about wait until at least the demos come out in a couple months....no reason to make the decision "now"

Not much to go on at the moment. All I can really say is I'm probably going with Live because 2K just won't change a whole lot again. I thought there was minimal difference between 2K8 and 2K9 so I'm expecting yet another minimal difference. Live has been making decent leaps each year this gen since they came up with a whole new engine and stuff and 2K is still on the one from like 2K4. Now the other side of that is 2K has little chance of being not good but if you didn't like it last year I have doubts you'd like it this year,again nothing concrete to go on,just basing it on what's happend so far.

I'm in the group of buying both. A real basketball buys both games. We don't know what each game brings to the table yet. We are actually 3 months away from release, but I am anxious to see the features for both games.

Not at all. I've played live demo and didn't liked it, but after reading some of OS posts I decided to buy it anyway (a few months ago) and I dropped 2K completely. 2K looks great and plays great, but after some scrub CPU bench player takes 30 shots with hand in his face, you just can't handle it anymore. I hope 2k Fixes those issues and gives us another quality basketball game to play. I'm buying Live first and I'll wait you OS friends to evaluate 2k10 and then I'll decide if I'll try that one too.

You need to adjust the sliders I had the game since it came out and I finally got it playin right. I have never had some scrub come off and shoot 30 shots on me.

Ive always bought both and traded in the one I like the least, when baseball dropped.


I will say, that right now, I feel like EA is putting in more work into bringing their game up a level or 2, while I feel like 2k is coasting by a bit.

Despite 2K's coasting (good way to put it) I'm getting both now too after seeing that special edition,well that's if I can get the special edition and it isn't some Gamestop exclusive or some bull like that.
