Looking For A REAL Basketball Game For A Work Function

We are having a rooftop party with one of those roll-away courts. Is there any game(s) you can think of that people can play? There must be a winner because gifts will be given out. Nothing too complicated.

I was thinking of teams of 2's and each team has 1 minute to make as many shots as they possibly can

    Any other ideas?
    Concrete evidence/videos please

I invented a game called Plus-Minus. It can be time-consuming at times, but the rules are adjustable. You could do it to accommodate the entire field or just the two finalists.

          Rules are as follows:
-Player A takes a 3-pointer. If he makes, he gets +1 point and another shot.
-If he misses and gets his own rebound, he gets -1 point and another shot. He can take it in for a layup (contested) or a 3-pointer (uncontested), but he will get another -1 if he misses.
-If he misses and Player B (can play with more than two players, as well) gets the rebound, he gets a free throw or layup (uncontested; which shot he takes depends on skill) to earn +1 point.
-All shots are either +1 or -1, including if they miss the uncontested free throw or layup (-1)
-The game ends when a player gets to an upper limit (I play +10)
-A player is eliminated when he gets past a lower limit (I play -10, but if you're doing a lot of people, then it could be -5)

Anyway, that's my suggestion. My second idea would be 2-ball.

Not to knock you man but that game has been around since before most of us were probably born.

Knockout is a great game for a ton of people. We did this game non stop at summer basketball camps when I was a kid, whether it was 5 of us or 50. It was all about getting yourself in front of somebody who was really bad lol

Seems like a no brainer to me. All the rest of the games require a lot of rules and organization and score keeping. Knockout is as simple a game as you can play with a lot of people.

I figure you all probably have played it before, but here's the breakdown, just in case:

Get two basketballs. Everyone make a single file line starting at the three point line or free throw line (I would suggest free throws, as the rebounds are less likely to go all over the place). The first two people in line have each ball. The first person shoots (Player A). If they make it, they run and get their ball and give it to the next person in line who doesn't have the ball. They then go to the back of the line. If they miss, they get their rebound and try to quickly score a bucket before the person behind them scores. After their first miss, they can shoot from anywhere on the court, they're not limited to the starting point. So if you miss your free throw, it's best to get the rebound and take it to the bucket for a layup.

The second person shoots (Player B) after the first person, and tries to make their shot before the first person. If Player B makes their shot before Player A, Player A is knocked out of the game. If Player A makes their shot, gives the ball to Player C and Player C makes their shot before Player B, Player B is knocked out of the game. This continues until there is only one person left.

Some other rules you might want to make are not to knock the ball out of people's hands or throw other people's rebounds away so they can't get the ball. However, it is a good strategy to time shots so it knocks other people's shots off, like if your rebound goes far away and you hustle and get it, to throw it up off the glass to cause the other person to miss. Also, no intentionally stalling if two or three people try to keep themselves in the game by holding the ball at the front of the line.

That's basically it. You should videotape it and put it on Youtube, it's funny to watch people who don't normally play ball try this game. They get really into it.

A house rule we play with is you stick with the ball you were given. It used to get real bad when people would miss, and then take the other persons rebound.

Well it's based on Money-and-Change, so I expected as much.

The problem with Knockout is that it's a rooftop party and that can get pretty crazy, no? How big is this roof? I've had misses go past half-court and such.
