I I rebound, throw it quickly to my guard and before I can get to the 3 pt line, 3 or 4 defenders are in the key.

I started thinking my controller is broken and speed burst doesn't work but that is simply not possible since I have experienced this in every game since Lakers vs Celtics back on the PC.

Anyone? Am I imagining this?

bro thats kinda cheesey anyway...fastbreaks shouldn't be automatic or even available off of every rebound...as for ripping the PG or steals...I have not had the cpu catch me so not sure what your doing wrong...sometimes maybe a defender has more speed

I haven't had the CPU catch up to me. I've had breaks with almost every player on the Lakers at this point, but I have had the CPU initiate some kind of strange contact animation from behind. It's strange because I can see it being triggered, as opposed to happening in a natural collision.

I've played a few games with the foul sliders turned up, and a lot of things that the CPU gets away with on default settings are called for a foul. For instance, when you jump first for a layup, the CPU can jump into you on default and not get called. Turn up the fouls and they get called for it. This is just a demo, so I have no ultimate judgement on the issue, but I hope that the foul calls are balanced on default in the retail version, for online play. With User vs. AI, you can tweak to your preference anyway.

Just as an aside, in most bball games I've played, turning up the foul sliders has solved a lot of problems, and made the pace more realistic.

What I'm waiting for is a NBA game where they actually put effort into optimizing the user vs. user gameplay.

I've been playing nba games dating back to the mid 90's and I've never played a game where I've felt the developer invested much into user vs. user gameplay.



I've seen it frequently on superstar.

Optimization for User vs User is literally an impossible task, because there will never a consensus on how things should be tuned.

Many people love the limited fatigue factor, low foul calling, neutered collision detection, low computer teammate I.Q., settings that have been a staple of online play.

Others of course, would like things to play out like they would see in a real NBA game. Its my personal opinion that no developer will ever have the default setting tuned in manner which makes many of their Users look incompetent, because the don't know how to or don't want to, play disciplined, fundamentally sound basketball.
