I noticed that as well, hopefully it's not like last year where pretty much every team had the same one.

Agree on the Bynum, disagree on the Kobe. 2K redoes player faces every year and yet they skip guys inexplicably. Bynum and Kendrick Perkins have looked the same since the first time they were in a 2K game and neither likeness is done well. Overall I think 2K has the better faces, plus the facial expressions in Live ruin the likenesses anyway as they don't move realistically at all. When a guy smiles in the Live demo, his mouth just makes a V and it looks - for lack of a better term - cartoony. Even 2K9 had better stuff then that:

Meanwhile 2K10's facial expressions look hyper-realistic because of the face mapping technology they got from Image-Metrics. Its almost night & day (assuming you care about facial expressions, which I do as long as these games keep making zooms to show them off)

I do prefer Live's player models (body shapes) if only because in 2K everyone has Dwight Howard Shoulders. It's ridiculous to do all that work on likenesses when the body structure negates a fair bit of it. In Live they may look a bit small in broadcast cam but the closeups really show off how relatively jacked someone like Fisher or Nelson is.

No disrespect my brother, but I beg to differ. <O</O
The players on Live 10 look like cartoon claymation with a glaze on them, but they sure as hell move very smoothly, I can't lie.<O</O
I'm waiting on 2k10 demo so I can compare and contrast...DC is not a reference point for me. <O</O

Why do so many people keep hating on Live instead of giving them their props. Stop pretending like something is wrong with them every turn you get. And honestly D-Wade is perfect in Live 10.

            In game shot...

And to say KG's facial expression is messed up in Live 10...really!!!

            Especially compared to 2k's D-wade....

i agree, dwade looks alot better in Live than the 2k screen. kg looks fine to me as well. Its just personal perference. Also, if you have your have your tv set correctlt, the players dont look as "glossy". I really like what htey did to the graphics. The bodies are done extremely well

I'm waiting until I see the games in my PS3 on my TV before I make any judgments. Needless to say I was ridiculously excited for 2K9's graphics pre-release last year based on all the screens and was very disappointed with the retail game.

Live 09 wasn't good looking last year, looks pretty good in the demo though.

People are always saying this, and although i wouldn't say 'cartoony' it's true. However, over the years now, Ive come to see and understand that 2k go for a more life like look, whilst Live is more of a 'video game' look, but still looks accurate. I like Lives graphics this year, as I do 2Ks.

I prayed for better player models in Live and they improved them. Last year they all looked like they forget to put some oil on their skin.

Live is so realistic with lighting this year that players seem lighter than they are. In the hanger they look much brighter compared to in game.

Yeah, "cartoony" isn't the word for Live's graphics, but their player likenesses never seem well-done.

Are you saying you can't tell who is who? Because IMO I can tell who everyone is at any given time on the court. JMO though.

Danm ! ... those live graphics do look amazing ! ... thus I dont know if it is the way the light reflects on the player bodies or if it is an overdone sweatting, but they do look to bright ... almost plastic ... but heck!, they are pretty detailed ...
