Dont know about that Da_Czar, kinda lost his creditability when Live flied him to there location and give him the royal treatment, a good reviewer should be completely objective he has yet to point out any real flaws in Live and we all know that there are a few.

You're just bitter because they didn't fly you in.

I was invited to the Madden community event this year and am one of the game's bigger critics.

Now if I found out that Da Czar got the business-class prostitutes I requested, then I'll have my doubts.

It really does not matter how long i have been a member of this forum, I never called the Da_ Czar a liar, just stating that if he was to give Live a higher score than 2k people may start to question his motives, Live could possibility be better than 2K but if he was to say this alot of people may feel that Live influenced him in some way even if it's completely bogus.

You're new, so you need to hit the video section of OS and look up last year's Battleground videos constructed by the Czar. You probably haven't seen any of his past work dating back even before 2k7. All I can say is the Czar knows basketball and has shown nothing but integrity in his breakdown of how the video games mimic real life. You won't get far calling him out like that. EA invited several OS members who had HATED the game in the past. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you need to single out people regardless of intention. IMO the Czar's Battleground vids far surpass reviews in depth and objectivity. I can't wait!

Lol, maybe I am a little jealous, that has nothing to do with it I have alot of respect for Da_Czar he was one of the first to put out his video teaching and pointing out the flaws in both games, I just don't want his name dragged through the mud with people calling him a sellout, it's hard to be completely unbiased to a company that has been good to you, personally flew you out probably put him up in a hotel and gave him the chance to first had play there game, I don't know about you but it would be hard for me to tear them a new one after that even if they deserved it.

I'd agree with you if it wasn't someone who's shown nothing short of an unbiased attitude since he's been around here. The Czar is a lot of things, but being a sellout isn't one.

I have all the respect in the world for Da_Czar, I do however think that he has had much more time with Live this year and has been more focused on that game so it will take some time and effort for him to get into 2k and be able to form a good opinion. Not saying you can't, Da_Czar, just that, for obvious reasons, you are probably going to be more apt for Live at this point in time.

As much as I value reviews -- we place too much weight on them. It's just like elections -- we can watch all the news and political ads and see who David Letterman or Glenn Beck like, but until we are alone in that booth (or alone in our living room with the games) we will not know how we truly feel.

Personally speaking, I would hate having to play two different basketball games because you would be constantly adjusting back and forth.

I think Live is a great game this year, I just prefer 2k's methods. For some of you, it will go the complete opposite way -- and that's awesome, too.

I see where your coming from.

But like the universe we are either expanding or contracting. I have been working on these videos and before that written articles since I think 2004-2005.

2k contacted me after last year and invited me up but it never materialized. Live made the offer this year and after it fell though initially and then it happened. I feel like this was an opportunity were the benefits to me and the community far outweighed some insignificant "fears" of being seen as biased.

I feel like JayZ summed this up perfectly when he said

"I don't be in the project hallways talking bout how i be in the projects all day".

Sure I could never go anywhere just to be able to say "I never went anywhere so now you can trust me" That's bogus and in itself a form of deception.

Before i ever agreed to go It was a serious conversation that I want it done my way and if its wack I will not do any shows or anything on it while I'm there. That is EXACTLY what they had in mind.

For those thinking it was all wine and dine. I am very serious about my work. Every day i was up and working from 3:00 a.m. to midnite. script writing in my room and reviewing notes planning out the possible show content etc etc. The only time I did not work that late was my last night when i left at 10 had dinner and went to bed.

When i got home i still had another 35-40 hours of work to do on those shows just to get them up before the demo.

So you see to me i don't owe them a dam thing. In fact if were being honest I wasn't happy that after all that work i only got the game a few days before it was available in stores because I wanted to finish my live tutorials before 2k dropped so I could spend the time after tuesday with 2k. (side note I let 2k know i would be receiving live early so that if they felt they wanted equal exposure/coverage they can send me their game as well... they politely declined)

I don't feel like I should have to justify what exactly i did each day but that is just to give you an idea. it was not fun and games. i went to work and rep OS and the SIM community.

I more than earned my keep and find it hilarious how those who have sacrificed little to nothing so easily find justification in attacking someone else's credibility. This is the last time i will answer a criticism of this type.

I mean you no ill will at all and like I said i understand your position. But i plan to do like the universe and continue to expand.

When you spend any amount of time here, unless you're just obtuse, it becomes clear who shares your sports gaming taste and/or expectations and who doesn't. Objectivity is a nice concept, but it really doesn't exist.

Lots of people here are very knowledgeable bball minds, but not everyone is looking for the same things in a basketball video game. You pay close attention to the opinions of "your people", and take with a grain of salt the the positive and the negatives of those who are philosophically at the other end of the spectrum from you.

I'm not even sure what's going on in here as far as any comments towards Da Czar, but from the little time that I've seen his posts on these forums, he really breaks down and analyzes a game. Any commentary or opinion he provides has substance greater than what most other people on here can provide. Da Czar's breakdown on a game are unbiased, substantive, comprehensive and just flat out real.

With all of that being said, I truly would like to see a thorough breakdown of each game from Da Czar. No score would even need to be given; just analysis of the strengths, weaknesses and improvements that need to be made.
