[Text Sim] DDS: Pro Basketball 2

Anyone ever play the first one? I have no experience with this game. Waiting for a demo. However, I do know that PureSim Baseball is a solid title from trusted sources.

    New Features:
    • DDS:PB2 goes global! Take on the challenge of running one of 72 European clubs complete with dual season play (domestic and cup) and interaction with the American professional leagues
    • League Expansion! Start a brand new franchise with a league expansion draft and begin the ultimate dynasty challenge
    • Depth of player personalities and interactions. Can you find the right mix of talent and chemistry to win the big one?
    • Expanded financial options like restricted free agency and player and team option clauses in contracts
    • Simplified financial mode. Don't like all of the details of the real world salary model? Play with a hard cap option to make it easier
    • Progressive injury healing. Player effectiveness will improve as injuries begin to wind down and heal
    • Vastly expanded in-game media presence. New reports, magazines, news stories and more
    • Player and team control options. Manage your teams in even greater detail.

I own the DDS: Pro Basketball I.

It's the best basketball management game on the market. Rookies coming along well, even if 20 years passes, NBA looks still ok. (Rookies have no tendency issues or anything).

As you could expect from a good text based bball simulation, it has decent depth as well. Stats looks cool, sim engine has no problems. Community is alive, some guy created roster and draft classes from 76 to 09 for last years game.

DDS: PB II has some improvements, like European Leagues, progressive injuries.

2D match engine isn't solid. Which is my only gripe with this game.

It is the best basketball management out there. If you like text based games, then you should enjoy this one as well.

The League Expansion feature sounds awesome. I'm guessing this isn't free?

Thank you. I appreciate the review. I think I'm going to get DDS: PB 2.

Would we be able to steal tendencies from this and put them in 2K10?
          Concrete evidence/videos please
