    Live or 2k?

I'm not trying to start a war, here, but I'm trying to decide between the two due to the black friday sales (Live $35 at Best Buy, 2k $25 at Walmart). I've played both demos and did like Live's slightly better. But I bought 2k from gamestop (I'm going to return it in a few days), and so far its pretty good as well.

What are the things each title does well? I know Live seems to have more issues right now, but with the patch coming out, how do you guys think it will play compared to 2k. I don't typically play online (though I have been doing the team up stuff on 2k - Live has a similar feature, don't they?), and it's mostly offline franchises. I don't need my franchise to be super deep, but I do need it to work, and work well.

So what do you guys think?

Both! For those prices it's like paying for 1!

2K is gonna be 25 dollars on Black Friday? Is it gonna be in-store only or online also? Live is really starting to piss me off so I was thinking about going back to 2K and see what's up. That'd be great for me if I could get it online for that price since I'm gonna be working that day.

i'll say this, both games are about your niche, both simulate basketball in different ways, 2k has its style and live has its style. none have the arcade elements to the extemt where you feel like you are playing nba jam anymore.

i dont think either is better its which one will piss you off less or put up a better challenge.

both get the basketball gameplay 50% wrong IMO but its which one you can forgive that makes up all the wars....

edit: Just so it's clear, although this is the Basketball (other) forum, you should still be searching for things before creating new threads. There are several threads comparing the two games already, use those.
