Teams that are better replicated in each game...

Would be interested in what you all think re which game does which team '"more realistically".

    I'll start:

Utah = 2K10. The Jazz run a structured offense under Coach Sloan in real life and you can replicate this in 2K10. They also have a huge front line that gets a lot of offensive boards that they like to kick out for D-Will to re-set their offense. Boozer's post game in 2K10 replicates almost perfectly what he can do IRL. It's a great feeling to be down on the block and go to work on a weak post defender with Booze and his array of moves in 2K.

Phoenix = LIVE 10. The Suns offense IRL basically revolves around Steve Nash dribbling and driving and kicking out / players trying to get open for the best shot. The Suns don't rely so much on structure as "best shot available". The superior ball handling skills in LIVE and the court spacing allows you to do this almost perfectly. The pick and roll / pick and pop with Nash and Amare is also superb.

I have mainly used these two teams + Chicago and Toronto in my games this season. Would be very interested in which teams you fellas are using and why the game you are using them in does the team well / doesn't do them well.

Cool thread CV, should be fun to read.

I don't have 2K10, only Live, and while I haven't played every single team, I've played quite a bit of games. The one that stood out most for me in playing AGAINST, was Golden State.

Man! I was out of breath just trying to keep up! They were running and gunning all OVER the place! Don Nelson himself could not have played them better than the CPU did, it was a blast.

The DNA really shined in that game. Morrow and Ellis killed me, by the way!

Cool idea, CV. Personally I think this will be pretty easy, teams that have a true low post scorer (Spurs, Lakers, Magic, etc) will get the 2K10 nod. Perimeter teams will get the Live nod. Up-tempo vs half court teams is tough, depends on a few variables as to which game will represent the team more accurately.

It is fun as hell dissecting a defender with Gasol, Duncan, etc on the block in 2K10 while it's amazing running and gunning with the Suns or Knicks in Live. I don't even bother wasting my time picking a team with a low-post threat in Live, I will rarely use the post player because the post game is so bland. At the same time, 2K really frustrates me with the inability to get true open looks from mid-range - and open 3-pt looks are rare. I can't emulate the Knicks' real-life style in 2K10 at all as the user - though the CPU does a very good job of representing fast-paced teams like the Knicks, Suns, Warriors, etc.

        LIVE 10

Golden State Warriors, i push at every oppurtunity i get... Morrow runs to the corners and Curry finds him. Also like to iso with Monta and get in the lane for the lay-up or dish to the perimeter
My All-time Favourite players is order:
        1.Larry Johnson
        2.Kevin Garnett

Played a game again last night as the Suns in 2K10 and they are just terrible in that game. Isomotion just doesn't allow you to drive around and move freely enough to replicate Steve Nash...and the on ball D means Nash gets 'stopped' in motion too often.

LIVE 10 does these guys perfectly. The Suns really are a tonne of fun in LIVE.

Using the Cavs for a game...just don't even bother in LIVE 10. The lack of physical stuff means Shaq and LBJ may as well be any 7 footer and any SF. Their strength advantages are perfect in 2K10.

I guess it depends on which team you want to use as to which game is worth playing
