Which game is closer to perfection.....2k or Live

The title says it all...Which game is closer to being a complete game?

I personally think it almost a toss up. Everything Live does well 2k does poorly(player control, court spacing, foot planting). And everything 2k does well live does poorly(animations, presentation, ai)

2K is by far the more complete game of the two. I don't know about it being closer to perfection.

EA has the spacing and feel alright but 2k is just better in every other area. Animations and CPU AI especially.

NBA Live's plays are infinitely better though.

2K in almost all aspects.

Biggest thing for me in AI plays is Live is missing any kind of rotation management, match up management and the AI does a poor job of time outs.

none imo.. they both have serious issues that need to be fixed... Live's unresponsiveness on defense. 2k's need of a new engine, blow isomotion up is awful ect...

i gave up on both this year. every now and then i play a little addidas run on live but thats about it.

Some how madden gave me the most fun with a sports game this year . outside of The Show.

2k has the more complete package. Its no where close to be perfect, but closer then Live at least.

But I prefer Live. On the court, live does better.

Both games are not near perfection at all but if you wanna play a game under your control then Live 10 is the choice, if you wanna play a video game that looks real as animationally then 2k.

Here is a video of both games on the aspect of in the paint comparison, it was one of the most important reason that i let go playing 2k.

I personally think 2k10 got robbed as far as best presentation of the year. I think 2k10 has that by a longshot. The cutscenes, realtime presentation and sideline stuff is fantastic. There just is a lot more to it. Players are also more true to life. I also think the AI and animations are very good. Movement off the ball and the way players set up is very realistic. Live owns as far as control and fun factor though. It just feels more organic to me. It's also not as glitchy as far as framerates and stuff and just runs smoother although Live freezes sometimes which is annoying. Live also has serious issues with perimeter defense. The control is great but you also don't have as much freedom as you do in 2k, especially defensively and in the post on offense. The camera angles are great in Live. 2k cam used to be great. What happened?? It's terrible now. I can't play 2k in anything other than broadcast these days. Both games are glitchy in their own right and are what they are.

I agree that on 2K10 his teammates didn't guard the paint well, but it mostly started with the player he was controlling of. The CPU player that Smoove's player was guarding passed him by like he wasn't there. The guy don't play D that good.

I know posting here you'll find people who mostly like the game. Otherwise they wouldn't be here.

But I guess I'm ahead of the curve, because these games are no where near perfect let alone acceptable.

If you are satisfied with incomplete, buggy games then have at it. I'll be playing other sports games which have their **it together

Neither game is near perfection! 2k is close in the features department!!! Both games need help in the on court action department!

i dont think either game will ever have a perfect season

look at as it is now

2k offers a wealth of options and game modes BUT its too animation driven, moves very badly and has stale on the court action IMO

live moves well, on court action simulates a nice offense BUT said offense has too many lapses, no real fastbreaks, lacks game modes and other depth options

bugs, i wont count because both games have many as any game

2k wont fix the movement and live has shown they do addition by subtraction.

so we will always have 2 prodicts that cater to their BASE none more polished than the other

after the last 2 years of hell im one of many that will not be buying anymore nba games for a long time

and thats ok, way too many great games coming out in the next few years to care about nba games.

I don't know if this makes sense...

But on offense, controlling the ball handler, LIVE replicates basketball better than any game I've ever played.

Overall though...from cpu player tendencies, to rules, to hustle, to game pace...2K10 simply replicates the NBA better than any game ever.
