...and don't forget one of the NBA In The Zone games on ps1 had a dunk comp as well as NBA All Star Challenge 2 on the Game Boy.

I'm thinking they will be adding an all-star weekend to ESPN Basketball because they have been on the hush about it and the football game got an overload of new things. So dont doubt sega. We will hear info on it in the next month so be ready.

For the ps2 version(controller), they could have the option of choosing the type of dunk you'd like to perform and also the angle and approach of your dunk eg: Wind-Mill-bassline-2 hander. Then maybe have the choice of a running start or a bouncer(Shooting ball as going for shot).

Then maybe using R3 for rotation(spin) and L3 for maybe tweaking your dunk into a reverse Wind-Mill, depending on the players dunk stats etc. They could also give you a choice on how far you want to take off.

I haven't really thought about this. Just some ideas being thrown around. If thought out right a dunk comp would be awesome, possibilities would be endless. Just think of all the dunks you could pull off. Real-life or fantasy.

VC said they won't do it unless they can implement it right, so if they were to do it, and it had too many bugs in it, they would scrap the project. They could do it, and I hope this is one of the reasons they are being so secretive about it all.
