Actually they are. Its just that some last longer than others.

Unless you are using something like Euphoria 90+% of the animations are going to be canned anyway. Almost all of Elite's animations are canned in the sense that they are stored in a can ie scripted. The few that aren't are barely noticeable.

The OP's claim is flawed on premise because almost all of ELITE's animations are still scripted and performed the way they have been in the past.

Because Backbreaker doesn't just have RTP it has real time animations that react to physics. Thats a night on earth day in Venus difference.

I was referring to two-player scenarios vs stand alone ones. Eg: contact in the paint vs a wide open jumper.

Aren't you quoting the same reviewer that ripped Backbreaker a new one despite having far better system than NHL 11? Another thing. That type of goalie play isnt anything new.

NHL 11 is benefiting from just being a great all around game. Sooooo people act like everything they are doing is new and revolutionary. Backbreaker wasn't a great game so even the new and revolutionary stuff was slumped on.

2k8 had some mean goalie physics, real time animations, and sweet AI but it had other issues and really strange control scheme so it didn't get the beer goggles.
