I'm not hating on 2k, I just got sick of the same game every year without anything new in the "gameplay". I might have missed some small things, but overall, the game just doesn't appeal to me. Just my taste of games, I want a game that has a realistic feel, because I know that this board will make sliders that will help with stats and stuff like that. Just my opinion, not a bash on 2k, just what I think.

Would you rather have cool looking intros are a good solid gameplay game? MLB the Show is beat in Commentary and Broadcast by 2k and The Show is FAR superior. Just one example.

Check my post again its modified, THe other game has great looking controls as well this from the Czar himself don't see what your hinting at. THe moderators even like the game now come on those guys are mad deep on controls that makea game

Oh boy. This thread is turning into a ELITE vs 2K thread.

It's just my opinion, I'm not hating on 2k because as of right now, they are the game that is the most respected I'd say. It's just not for me...I'll just stop with that...

Yeah, I just think that either way, commentary will always get old...any game, no matter what the developing team tries to do, eventually it will get old...2k's commentary does sound better, but Elite has ESPN, which might appeal to some people. The controls do look really nice on Elite, so we'll see. I guess the demo will be the verdict on whether or not I'm buying a basketball game this year from EA or 2K.

Yea i feel you on that, But Espn wise, the only time you hear Espn is when the game starts and when it'll probably in the rest of the time, there talking about the players and in Elite it seems they'll be strictly talking about the players no backstory or history. The diffrence in the commentary wise is that Elite gives you a play by play analysis they just speak on whats happening at the moment and a comment at the end of teh turnover or possession{From what i've seen in all the vids check for yourself if you don't believe me it goes down in that exact order} I watche da vid of 2k the announcers were talking about Dwade's handicap against the celtics in the playoffs and the new people on there team even taking a pause one time to speak about who scored and then they went back to talking thats pretty dynamic to me Elite's well probably get better since this is there commentators first year but 2k probably has but loads of commentary in there game since they've had the same announcers so it'll take a while before it gets old..Feel me

Absolutely, but how many times are you going to hear about Wades history before you start to just get annoyed about the new people on the team and about his handicap against the Celtics...hahaha kind of a joke, but maybe not haha

Yes, they've set the date. They won't tell anyone until they announce it through press.

And can we talk about Elite, or move this thread? I don't get why there have to be 7 posts quoting someone talking about 2K & its demo when there is a thread for that.

I consider it better then simply hearing that.. ""HE shoots, Missed,..rebound.....shoots..missed..passes to whoever.. ""All these things are in 2k11 as well but theres more things backing it up in ELite..its the same stuff every game..just three guys with diffrent voices

Yeah, I guess I rarely pay attention to announcers so it's not a huge part of the game for me...I just want this demo to get released so we can really see how the game is.

Guys, can we grow up and not get all emotional when someone has a difference in game preference? Everyone is different, and it will always be like that. Move on.

And to the OP, the majority of the posts in the Elite forums are by people who have no interest in purchasing the game. Combine that with the game's lack of visual appeal and you're obviously going to see a lot of negativity. This thread is just asking for trouble.

I think the game feel sluggish to the guys who run around pressing turbo all game long imo...

The movement feels great to me, 2k's poor controls in the past (mainly 2k10) was one of the reason I was going with Elite this year...

Not anymore lol

Good controls, gameplay, animations and a Association mode miles better than the other game changed my direction back to 2k...

Thank god for options, everyone doesnt like the samethings...Hopefully we'll have more football games to choose from.

I dont think commentary is such a big deal. Look at Mlb 10 its by far the best baseball game right now but their commentary is absolutely terrible and they have recycled the thoughts on players from like 2006.

So we shouldnt compare 2k11 and NBA Elite when it comes to commentary. MLB 2k11 had some awesome commentary but the game sucks, one of the few things I have liked about the Live series is their authenticity when it comes to players gear and authenticity in general. Still that does not mean its better than the 2k series.
