Why the spacing still sucks in 2k11:

I haven't played the retail game, obviously, but from spending time with the demo and watching videos, I wonder why people say the spacing issue is fixed in 2k11.

To me, it's just as bad.

Let me explain why. Other than the fact that computer players tend to bunch up for no reason to the point where you can guard both of them with one guy, the main problem is the movement.

There is movement in 2k, but it does not take into account the situation. The players need to spot up more and read the defense before they cut/move so that they don't bring a man to you or block your driving lane or what you are trying to do. Even in older 2k games the spacing was better because there was less worthless movement.

I think it'd be good if there was some rating for this, and it would make it more realistic to have people make bad cuts SOMETIMES but it often seems like you are playing against the other team and your players, who you have to keep directing if you want them to stay out of your way.

Well he never said in this thread that that is the reason but I agree with him that it is not there yet but I disagree that its the same with 2k9 and 2k10. Anyway he just pointed out what he observed and hopefully, calling plays will limit or eliminate those instances.
