Just saw this on ESPN. I know emotions run high during a game, but dude... You blatantly pushed a guy RIGHT in front of the ref. What do you want?

All guys his height have to do to get a scholly is go to school, stay out of trouble, and NOT do things like this. Dumb.

Yes, I am one of those frustrated 6'0 ballers that get pissed when people 6'4+ dont play basketball or otherwise "waste their height"

There's no place for that anywhere. Clearly, this is assault and battery, which the kid should be charged for. If he was over the age of 18 and he came at me like that, he'd be in for a fight. Trust me, in my experience, officiating is not worth the trouble. People who play sports tend to think they're all world for some reason and don't realize that mistakes are made in every profession; officiating is no exception.

This kid would be off my team in a heartbeat. I broke up a fight between two of my players last year and we kicked them off the team as a result. One of the players is now playing varsity for the high school and refused to go in during a game in which the team was losing. The coach told him if he ever pulled a stunt like that again, he was off the team. They come back from Christmas break and a similar situation occurs. The coach kicks him off the team...the administration steps in and tells the coach to give him another chance. The kid has had multiple discipline issues but was allowed to come back to the team. You don't realize how hard it is to maintain the respect of other players as a coach when that happens. The team gets big heads and then crap like that in the video happens...

The young man want to apologies to the ref.

He is kicked off the team. He received 10 day suspension from school. He can never play any other high school sport and is going to be charged as an adult with a felony.

Except there was no blatant mistake here made. The two were jostling running down the court. It seemed like the punk's second push that drew the technical, which appeared to be the correct call.

This jackwad probably wouldn't be facing expulsion if he just would have let it go after the initial push.

I always love the explanation "it just happened"..... like it rained or snowed or something.
