EDIT: whoops the game in question is NBA JAM for the 360, i copied this topic onto a few sites to see if i can get enough people so i forgot to fix the title.
Well the record keeping in this game is broken severely by cheaters, and it's hard to find games earlier in the day, only because 4 people have to be searching for a game at the same time, so as it stands this game is 100% unplayable every day from approximately 2AM EST until noon. and to top it off, everyone always picks the exact same teams online (boston/la/orl/miami). i want to create a league that will try to balance some of these problems by not having people who disconnect randomly, not counting games that desync (a serious problem online, this is what happens when you and other people in your game end up playing in different games and it seems like other people are playing extremely stupidly).
So in order to have enough people to start the league, i'd have to find at least 8 total people who wanted to participate. i'll post exact details of how it'll work later, but basically everyone in the league will play games against each other, and if there are any people who disconnect when they're losing, we'll know and be able to kick people out if necessary. there will also be some rules like i said before that keep it from being the same teams all the time, there will be incentives to play as lesser used teams. you'll be able to play a bunch of league games, earning points for every win. and every so often we'll have a 'tournament', probably the last week of every month, where the top 8 people in the league (hopefully we get more than eight so it will be interesting if you'll make the cut at the end of the month) will face each other in a tournament style elimination, so every month we will have a monthly champion, and we'll also keep lifetime league results as well. anyway, that's the gist of it, i'll post specifics if i can find at least 8 people who'd be interested in this. again, league times would be 2am - 12pm EST, you don't have to play every day or anything crazy like that just at least a few times a month. it will be a lot more fun than playing with the random cheesers and cheaters online i assure you. and the tourney would add some ncaa style intrigue to this game that we all got hosed on, because EA stopped support for it too early.

if you have an online record of 25 wins in a row and are known around the community for disconnecting don't bother applying, this is more to keep the game fun and fresh by playing at times you normally can't play a game at, and playing with different teams than the same ones every time, and to just have a fun time with a little tourney and records every month.
