Top 5 Things You Would like to see fixed in ID 2004

So...with ID 2004 only a little bit away...what are the top 5 things you want to see fixed or added to this year's game? Just curious?

1.On default sliders I'd like to see lower FG%, Lower numbers of blocked shots, more fouls etc

2.Presentation needs a drastic overhaul. It had some bright spots last year but needs a lot of work.

3.Franchise mode needs a complete face lift. There needs to be a designated FA period, rookie scouting, better player progression (not dynamic, but for non created players), real coaches like ESPN.

4.Continue to improve commentary. I liked it last year and hope it continues to get better.

5.Keep the realistic gameplay!!!!! I thought this game played the best out of the major 3 last year, I hope they continue to improve on that aspect. Hopefully they don't turn the ame too arcade-ish or too sim-ish, last year was a good blend. MInor tweaks in the gameplay can do wonders.

                from the interview at: http://www.nbaidzone.com/interview.html

Will there be an increase on free throws and a decrease on offensive rebounding next year?

Yes and yes. Both of these have been corrected for Inside Drive 2004.

The offensive rebounding is now much less prominent and matches the NBA average for offensive rebounds. We spent time working on the logic that controls the positioning of defensive rebounders as well as the boxing out of offensive players. The outcome is a much more realistic behavior for defensive players, and it fixes what has probably been the #1 gameplay gripe by fans.

The lack of free throws in ID 2003 was obviously related to how rare shooting fouls were called. Don't worry, we didn't just bump up a percentage to increase the amount of shooting fouls. We wanted to make this more realistic and ensure that fouls happen in the right situations. We worked with each situation to get the most realistic simulation of this aspect of the game.

The top thing I wanted was an improved franchise mode. Sounds like they have added the little things we all wanted like improved AI, better passing, more balanced rebounding, more animations etc.. BUT franchise mode needs and overhaul. Everything Warriors mentioned needs to be added. My biggest gripe has been the exclusion of a trading block feature. You need to be able to shop players around and make offers to teams who have their players on the trading block. I think that's a glaring omission in the franchise mode.
