Will there EVER be another college basketball game made?

I just don't get it, how can neither company, either 2K Sports or EA Sports, not capitalize on this, 2K could make a great game, especially if they can make a superstar mode, ala MY Player in NBA 2k12, to correspond with the two games. As a huge college basketball fan, neither company making a game for two years is an outrage, and if a game was made by either company, it would fly off the shelves, we are asking for it, but why aren't they listening?

i dont think it would fly off the shelves, if that was the case somebody would more than likely be making one.

I wonder how 2K would do if they went back to making a college game but on a slower release cycle. Maybe one game every 3-4 years.

I think a lot of sports games suffer because of the annual release. Without competition, 2K could put out a game every couple years, and even charge for additional content if they wanted.

I know the profits didn't add up releasing a game every year, but if a game was released in a year or two, you'd get all the college basketball fans at once. That would certainly be more profit than 2K was bringing in when they were competing with EA, and presumably more profit than EA when they were competing with themselves by releasing the game every 12 months.

Just a thought I've been kicking around.

It would be awesome if we could play a My Player mode in a future NCAAs title (if they ever make one) and after playing in college import it to the My Player mode in that year's NBA 2k game and we get drafted based on how well we performed in college. My life would be complete if 2k or EA managed to do this.

So instead of lowering the asking price and allowing these companies to further put College Basketball out there, they (NCAA) refuse and would prefer to have no game at all?
