id has been my basketball game of choice for the last two years. but this year, based on good feedback here for live and suggestions that the feel of the new id wouldn't be drastically different to the last iteration, i decided to give ea's title a whirl. and have to say, although the gameplay isn't up to id 2003's, the extra control given by freestyle and the split dunk/jumper buttons means, at least initially, i feel more involved in games of live that i did with id. it does remain to be seen whether i get bored with the lack of realistic plays and the horrible offensive rebounding. (live's been out less than two weeks in the uk.)
so all in all, was happy with my decision to go with live this year.
and then the positive response to id 2004 started appearing...
so my question is, given that the cpu's ai will be far more realistic in id than either live or espn, from the user's point of view, what can you actually do this year that you couldn't last?
