All you "gamers" those complaining about the player models, etc.....

Grow up. Or rather, drive yourself over to a used game store. Buy an old used, beat-up Nintendo. Yes, the original one. Then, for a measely 3 or 4 dollars, buy Double Dribble. Play that game over and over and enjoy the game for what it is. Crappy player models, lack of offensive and defensive gameplay, piss poor animations, and get this......NO REAL PLAYERS. Even worse, only 6-8 teams! No substitutions either! Can you believe that? Well, guess what? That game was insanely fun back in the day. Those of us played the game were amazed at the awesome player models, the sweet looking animations, the offensive bonanza that included a "cheat" 3 pointer that worked everytime.

Somedays, I wish there wasn't an internet because of all the ridiculous nit picking that goes on with every game released. Some of you...not all....but definitely some of you are sooo very spoiled. Sometimes, it takes looking back where technology started (even before Nintendo) to realize how far technology has advanced today.

Just enjoy the game guys. It's that simple.

Same thread gets started with the release of every sports game. I clearly see where you're coming from. And I'm usually one that tells theses youngins to pick up DD but you also got to realize, these are advanced times we're living in. Technology is advanced beyond most ppls belief. When you have one game that makes super realistic graphics, another one that makes mediocore graphics and another the makes subpar graphics, you have to complain otherwise the ladder 2 companies will think you actually like the graphics.

Since Sega raised the bar with graphics its no reason for the other companies not to try to raise the bar even futher. Everybody in some way is a closet graphic whore. We all would like realistic graphics but for some, they can accept subpar, others cant even touch it no matter how good the gameplay is(High Heat anyone?) I'm one that can accept mediocore graphics but that does'nt mean I wont complain about it. If you're behind then you're behind and somebody needs to get that through to a company. If no one ever complained, then we would be still looking at Double Dribble.

I understand what you're getting at and I agree...to an extent. Graphics do matter. Would you go back to living in a cave, which our forefathers found to be a luxury? Would you drive a Model T which was cutting edge at one time? Would you go back to using Dos over windows? Catch my drift?

Why are you worried about it? Let them complain and just ignore it if it doesn't bother you but I for one hate the graphics. I'm not a graphics whore by any means but when the graphics interfere with the gameplay then I get upset. I play with the NETS and it's hard to tell the difference between Kidd and Kmart sometimes. And when I pass the ball to a player I think is Kidd but is really Kmart and then shoot a long range shot and realize it wasn't Kidd then they do interfere with gameplay. I am forced to look for identifying pieces of equipment like Kidd's knee pad before I go up for a long range shot...
