I wonder if OS could do a poll in the basketball forum or something as to which game to buy this year now that all 3 games are out? I know each game has their strengths and weaknesses, but these past 2 years have been pretty bad basketball vid experiences for me for this very reason.. Rather then playing just one game, I end up playing all 3 and by the time IM done I play none, because no one has that much time to really get into each game.. I know Live has more control. ID has more realistic player/team tendancies. Espn has better graphics/more modes. But in that regard, if you had to choose one game which would it be? Im talking as an entire package which game has the most while at the same time sacrificing the least.. For the majority Im talking. I know people have their particular things they are looking for in a game. Why the reviews here dont help me much either, because everyone has different things they are looking for in a game. Im looking more for a majority opinion as to which game is the best this year???????

Can we do a Poll?
I posted this same thing in the Live and ESPN forums because I cant figure out how to get a global poll going of these games

Re: Can we do a Poll?
ID and ESPN are tied for first. Live is just plain garbage IMO. ESPN if it had a better post game, team specific play styles, and cameras there would be no complaining. ID if it had better graphics, better cutscenes during play stoppage and better menus(loads too long) would get no complaints. So next year I'll be on the look out for both ESPN and ID. -

So far, I totally agree with you Classified, although I am still evaluating ID. For now, until my evaluation is complete, its ESPN. ID has a chance to equal or surpass it after more gameplay and observations.Comment

Re: Can we do a Poll?
Well like I said Ive played all 3 games and here is my impression so far if it helps anyone else.. Ive played about 10 games of Live and ESPN, and about 3 games with ID so I may be off on a few things..
I actually enjoyed Live. Its a fun game, although it has money plays like every other EA game to date. This year its the back down and dunk, back down and dunk, etc.. If you've played Live you know what I mean.. PLus the comp doesnt take 2 pt jumpshots.. The pro hop is nice but can abused in the same way.. Adjusting the sliders may help in these areas.. Ive messed around with them a bit, but havent had too much time. Plus I hate sliders!@
ESPN was my favorite so far, but it is already repetitive. Iso, pick and roll, <repeat> etc.... You know what I mean. ESPN is so good in every area, except off the ball movement and actual plays. NBA Live players dont move without the ball either, but its annoying me that Sega could have made such an awesome game and left out such a huge thing. Hopefully next year.. Plus there are some stupid things missing I cant understand like a hook shot??
Where Live and ESPN are lacking, This is where ID shines. Players move without the ball and teams play similar to their NBA counterparts. After playing ID Im not sure I can play any other game, although ID itself is lacking in pretty much every other area other then this.. I still dont like the controls or look of the game. Franchise mode is supposedly the same. At least they have online play this year. Ultimately, ID is what Live and ESPN failed to do this year imo. A realistic simulation of NBA basketball. Still it could be a much better one and is void of anything beyond... It still makes Live and ESPN both look archaic in the area of actual basketball though..
Ultimately...
if EA could learn to implement things "realistically", as well as they add features the world would be a better place.
The opposite goes for Sega. What they do they do well, but they leave out stupid shiet.
ID has the main thing both games somehow missed. A realistic game for what it is..
And Im still not happy..... I just want a good basketball game that does at least the majority well. A good simulation with some good features, graphics, control, etc.. Is that so much to ask? It seems like its another year of try this one, or that one, and pick and choose the features that are most important to you.. I hate this. Games are supposed to be fun, not a freakin research project.
