    Poor rebound distribution

I'm getting all my rebounds with my C and PF again this year, regardless of who they are. My total rebounds for the team look about right (40-50), but in my last game, Coleman had 19 and Kenny Thomas 18 out of a total of 45. Does anyone have a solution for this? I hope I don't have to edit every one of my guys player tendencies. I tried turning up the rebounding to High, but that hasn't seemed to help much. Big Dog should be pulling down some boards for me. I've only played a few games, so maybe things will even out. Any suggestions?

I dont know, everyone on my Bulls team pulls down some boards. Donyell Marshall and Tyson Chandler are a beast on the glass. They defetnitly get good position all the time. This is also the first game where you can reconize a good rebounder by thier positioning after a shot. They seem to know where the ball will clang of the rim better than others.

My Cavaliers are pretty good at hitting the glass. Boozer, "Z", Mihm, and Diop all get their share of rebounds. Davis usually grabs 5-6, and Lebron usually gets 7-8, with miles picking up all the garbage boards. Extremely realistic if you ask me.

Of course I play with the Bulls as well...

Yeah Chandler is a beast on the boards when I play as well.. Curry's Big body takes up space which enables him to get good position for rebounds for me.

I could be wrong.. but it seems like most of the players emulate their real life playing styles..

In other games.. I would forget about Rose.. because he almost seemed useless and a little for Pippen as well.

I can actually can play to Rose's shoot first mentality -when no one around the rim to grab the boards game.

Yea, I actually utilize Rose as if he's an AllStar. You know how in real life, he'll just walk up the court and just shoot it? Or catch a pass, stand there for a bit, then just take a shot? I do that in ID and it works like a charm. And you'll always see him running off screens tryna get open or cutting to the basket....

My mentality with ID is, if you see them do it in real life, you can do it in ID. What I mean for an example is, if you see a PF or C take a 15 footer from the baseline and consistently hit the J, you can do the same in ID. If you see a PG who has a higher success at penetrating and kickin it out to a open man ala Kidd or Nash, you can do the same in ID. If you see a PG who likes to post up ala Cassell, you can do it in ID....and it goes on and on and on. In Live, I could'nt utilize a players strenths like penetrate and kick it out, or wait for a player to come off a screen or having a smaller player post up. ID is basketball.

                            Re: Poor rebound distribution

Exactly, that is part of what makes ID a great game. It is these aspects of the game, that keep you wowed game after game. IMO yes, Live plays a good game of basketball this year, however, it plays the SAME game of basketball game after game. Start out a good game, either get a big lead, or get behind big, play catchup (for you or the CPU) and have a good game.

That is not the case in ID. If you have a player who is hot, ride him and he will keep you up in this game. Are you just playing blindly, not running the plays, prepare to get steamrolled by a good opponent.

Playing the Lakers with the Cavaliers, you better

This game is awesome. It plays to the teams styles. I have gotten steamrolled, when I played the Nuggets, cause I expected to just come in and get my first win of the season, and then Indiana was 4-1 and I rolled over them at Conseco because Ricky and Lebron got hot, and I played the Motion game. Hit one another off a screen, sometimes keep driving to the hole, sometimes pulling up for the "J". Sometimes when you get played too tight, go back door for the oop. There are so many realistic scenarios that take place in each game, and that is what makes a great basketball game IMO.
