    Trading players is too easy

I'm playing a new season as the Mavs and true to form, I go no D! Both of my games went over 100pts.

I decided to trade for LeBron James and I got him using Michael Finley(same rating), Travis Best.
Hmm, seems like the AI trading isnt too smart . . .
LeBron cant hit the 3 though, his rating is only 57 for 3 pointers but he did get 31 pts in his first game for me. Cant wait to play the Lakers.

Anyone else make some lopsided trades?

hows that lopsided when finley is a proven jump shooter and a veteran, thrown in with a veteran PG Best, for a Rookie?

    Makes sense to me.

It's unrealistic in that LBJ is 100$ untradeable obviously. Same with Yao Ming and probably a handful of other first / second year guys whose ratings don't yet reflect how great they will be.

Not sure there's any way a video game CPU can handle this though...as all the games simply base trades on 'ratings'.

Maybe a hidden rating making some players "untradeable"...?

There is a hidden "potential" rating which shows how much non-created players can improve over their careers. LBJ's potential rating should be much higher than Finley's.
But i guess the CPU doesnt take into account the potential rating when evaluating a trade.

No one wants Shawn Bradley though . . .

Yeah, but who knows that Lebron or Ming wont end up being garbage in your franchise? In that case, I think its fine that the CPU bases trades on the player ratings.
