Quite a few adjustments are needed to get stats right. Some of the top of my head I did are

Van Exel (hes horrible out of the box)
Richardson
Cardnal
Randolf
Ron Murray
Houston
Stoyockavich (his 3pts shooting)
Karl and payton (need to take there shooting down some, so Kobe and shaq get points)
Kobe and shaq) Bump up there tendancy to shoot, put shaqs hook all the way)
Dampier
Camby (his stamina mostly)
Mourning
Terrel Brandon (too good)
Yao Ming (only was getting 10 ppg)
Van Horn
Mcgrady (need to adjust his shooting tendancies)
Gasol and J. Williams (adjust so Gasol shoots more, and Jwill less)
Kirk Hinrich
Jay Williams (bulls)
Cris Bosh
Carmello and Lebron (mostly lebron so he shoots more, and is a little better at passsing/vision)

Theres probably more, I took about an hour or 2 simming a couple months inot a season then checking the stats and adjsuting more. It was kinda fun. My season is very close to the real NBA season now. Only thing is, you always find another player to adjust, and you get an urge to start another season. Its sorta addicting. I wish you could adjust ratings during the season....

I've done a lot of the same thing. Some of my players are still off but I feel like just living with some of them through the season I got going. I adjusted every All Star and good player in the game and many other starters (including tendancies for all of them). It's really one of the biggest complaints that I had of this game -- that the ratings were pretty far off.

The other thing I did was special adjustments to every player on the team I'm using so that between their ratings and the sliders, I could get a realistic experience. The global sliders for shooting percentages had too large a discrepancy so it's almost necessary to adjust every player I'm controlling individually so their shooting percentages combined with the sliders are realistic. One click in the global sliders shooting percentages seemed to make a difference of about 15% to 20%. I wish the differences were a little more subtle.

All I am going to do is to adjust the playoff teams. So could you give me your adjustments for those teams? Or at least one of those teams? Thanks

i posted this b4....this is what i did

the individual sliders things that i thought needed adjusting were speed, strength, and dunking- i lowered everyons dunking to 90 and below-when you hit the 80's is when they start doing all of the ridiculas between the legs dunks, so on a lot of players that i never see doing these dunks in games i lowered their sliders into the 70's-they still dunk but they do the basic dunks no circus dunks-for the speed some of the stats were off as well they had some pretty fast PG speed in the low 70's so i used Speedy claxton as a bar for speed and raised their sliders accordingly(now don't confuse speed with quickness, that is what the deke slider is for...i employed the same method for dekes but for the most part those were right.- now for strength there was a big adjustment- it seems af if some smaller players strength was in the 90's and some C's strength was in the low 30's- now we all know any 99% of the centers in the league should be stronnger than the Pg's & the SG's of the league, with a few acceptions- so what i did was i separated the positions and made one person per position the bar for the strength settings
i.e-i used shaq for the centers:kidd for PG's(i think he is one of the strongest PG's in the league);kobe for the sg(he plays pretty strong);cwebb for the PF(it was a toss up between him and duncan,i know he isn't the strongest but i used him as the start point, and i think he plays a little more physical than duncan-it );jamal mashburn for SF's(he is big an plays a more power game)...now i also looked at weight nad play styles to get my final ratings.i don't have anyone's strength set above 90.

my games have been great

LET THE GAMES CONTINUE!!!!

So let me see if I understand. For strength did you use those guys ratings out of the box and lowered everyone else at that position under that. Ex say Kidd was a 70 in strenght before tweaking, you would lower everyone under that at that position. So Cassell would be a 65 and so on. Is that how you did it? Or did you tweak Kidds rating and then lowered everyone under that number?

i created a scale for PG's through C's...the strongest a Pg can be is 75 with a couple of exceptions(you'll know who they are), the sg-sf point is75- 83(some exceptions), and the c's is 84-90(with exceptions), every click makes a difference... if one player is a 88 and one player is 89, you'll notice in the game...(example of exception : smaller 2 guards like AI who are not that strong, you make the adjustment, I have his strength lowered to 77(he is quick but not strong...keon clark c- athletic but not strong-his strength is 85...it's a pretty easy process, and it didn't take long to do, and my games matchups really make a difference-because of these adjustments.
